4A Aaron Douglas and Ben Burnett both from Maryville!

 

Congratulations to ROD WILKES ...SMYRNA HIGH SCHOOL!!

 

 

Congrats to Douglas and Burnette. GQ and staff get most of the credit for Maryville's success but I think they would tell you it takes great players to achieve the success that they have with their program. It is great to see individual Maryville players like Douglas and Burnette get the recognition that they deserve.

 

Douglas was pretty much a "done deal" after he won it last year. Burnette has to be elated to win this award, since a lot of people, myself included, probably thought Phillips of Sullivan South would win it. They were both very deserving; you could have flipped a coin and got a worthy winner of the award.
