Central beats Stewart CO. 1-0 Pieratt pitched great as did Mills. both pitchers only gave up 1 hit each i believe. Central just played great defense and mills kept off balance. its been a rough season for central but hopefully we can get on a lil role here at the end of the season goin into the play-in games.

Wat is the Waverly leftys name. the #24? He has impressed me on how he has been pitchin especially for a freshman. He is a freshman rite? lol.

Sumbody got the standings for the district as of tonite?

#24 for Waverly is a Freshman. His name is Micheal Purcell, he had an older brother that also played for waverly. Purcell is a very good pitcher, he played a lot of travel ball through out jr high and what not. He will only get stronger and better. Might I also note he and the catcher, #44 have a great nitch together, they click very well.

In my eyes Purcell has to be the district MVP look what he has done for Waverly. They are one win away from being district champs and I know no one thought that would happen before the season began.

Yeah, Purcell is doing very well especially to be a freshman. He mixes his pitches very well. Baggett is very good as well. I guess that's who Sycamore will see tomorrow night. This puts a little kink in the undefeated in district plans that Sycamore had. Tomorrow night is for the #1 seeding it looks like.

Harpeth beat Cheatham 4-3 in a lackluster performance by all accounts. I couldn't make it. Parents have to work during these stupid in school games. I thought Cheatham County BOD was tightening up on these things. At any rate, Andy Brown hit a 3 run shot in the 1st and Harpeth held on to pull it out despite the defense. Ben Howell got another nail biter win. Time to turn it up a notch Indians. You can't just walk out on the field and beat anybody in this district. You've got to play the game.

looks like the race is heating up. Sycamore-Waverly tonight for the one seed. Waverly is assured of eithe rthe one or two seed with their win last night. If SYcamroe wins today, it would put CW and Wavo in tie and Wavo gets tiebreaker with the win over Sycamore.

Sounds like the rest of the games were good. Harpeth wins by one run and the MC-SC game speaks for itself. The CW-Fairview game was good. From what I heard Fairview came out swinging the bats and jump out to a 4-1 going into the fourth. CW scored 6 to go up 7-4, but Fairview answered to make it 7-5 in the top of the 5th, but then Fairview's left fielder pretty much gave CW the cushion it needed to win. He lost a ball in the dark sky, then didnt move on a line drive he probably could have caught, then on a mile high fly ball didnt get to it. Next guy for CW hti a bomb to make it 10-5. CW threw Donaldson for 2+ innings and he got rocked, then Tucker finished the game. I hope CW comes ready to play today.

The MC win puts a little pressure on Harpeth and Fairview. Both need to win atleast one more game to finish a head of MC right now. It will not matter if SC can win tonight against MC. But if MC wins they finish at 5-9. Right now Fairview is 5-6 with tongiht left against CW and then two with Harpeth next week. They need one win to guarantee them to play in the 4-5 game. Harpeth has one with Cheatham tomorrow and the two with Fairview. Harpeth needs one more win same as Fairview. If they lose their last three they will drop to 6th if MC wins tonight.

I see Harpeth and Fairview spliting next week to finish 4-5. If they are smart, neither team with throw its ace Monday or Tuesday with the play in game on Wednesday, and thus making them play for the third day in a row.

It seems like to me that with the exception of Waverly and Sycamore, evey team has one outstading pitcher and a few decent pitchers. CW has Tucker, Harpeth has Johnson, Fairview has Adkinson, MC has Mills, SC has Pieratt. Beacus of this it should make the play in games exciting next week.

i would have to say purcell has to be one of the, if not top freshman pitchers in the state. he impressed me big time, just not with his pitching, but his head was in the game the whole time and didnt let up once. hopefully sycamore pulls it out tonight. they have their ace on the mound tonight which is bj, but if he struggles then their number 2 kyle can come in. i see sycamore pullin it out tonight, cuz i see bj shutin them out.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
