papatiger
Waverly tried to help curb expenses by asking Bolivar to play both games on Friday. Bolivar refused. Then Bolivar had the gall to call back and ask if the boys game could be moved to 4 pm. The coach agreed even though IMO he shouldn't have since they wouldn't help us out and the reason they wanted to change was to watch the UT/Memphis game. SO WAVERLY FANS, WE HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE GAS, SO DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THE CONCESSION STAND EITHER NIGHT!!!!!! PASS THE WORD. PULL THE UPSET WAVERLY! And sssoooo....... Bolivar is really tacky for not agreeing to it. They probably remember escaping with the skin of the teeth last time Waverly came knocking. Actually Waverly should have won. Bolivar had Kemp, Odom, Chism. Ricco Ralston showed that night that he was better than Kemp, he left him standing in his shoes several times, and he dunked over Odom and Chism both 6'9" at the same time. Oh, and Ricco is 6 ft. In case you didn't see it, ask for game films because I have the photo to prove it. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> Thought I would put this here since it's the only popcorn you will see me or a lot of people from Waverly eating. I'm not saying Waverly is going to win this one. In fact, it's going to be the most difficult task they've had. Bolivar is very talented and has a hostile crowd. Waverly is very, very young. No seniors. But they are very talented and it would delite me so much to beat Bolivar in an upset like they upset us in 04-05.
sportsguy22
Interesting, but I know the TSSAA bylaws say the girls must play Friday at 7:00 local time and the boys Saturday at 7:00 local time for first round region games. I don't have a dog in the hunt, but I just thought I'd throw that in there and I'm not sure if the TSSAA would allow such a change. You know them and money! I don't know the by laws but I know that Harpeth and McNairy are doing it. And they have changed their game time to 6 PM. And our boys game is 4 PM changed from 7 so they could watch a college game. At least one other school hosting the same school have scheduled boys and girls on Friday, so it could be done.

Your right we should have said play Friday or it stays the same. But since it's changing will the game be broadcast? I sure hope so. The Florida listeners really want to hear the game. Give the station my vote to broadcast please! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Or that is the plan that was told to me. For those that want to listen wqmv1060.com. It streams really good.
bballfan4
I have already said this on an earlier thread but Rudesill from Bolivar coaches boys and girls and since both these games are important I don't blame Bolivar for playing on separate nights. He needs to be focused on the girls friday and then on the boys saturday. I also heard that Waverly wanted an earlier start time on saturday before Bolivar even played in the Championship game. I understand that people don't want travel and gas is expensive but this is about the kids not things like protesting the concession stand. Good Luck to both teams. I like Bolivar and respect their program AND hope they win the game but this is a lame excuse not to play on the same night...With gas being $3.07 a gallon (at least around here..Union City)and not only the fans of the games and their expenses but the school's expenses for fuel to load up the bus twice it doesn't make any sense...Needs to focus on each team??..What does he do during the regular season???... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> ..Unless the T.$.$.A.A mandates that they absolutely HAVE to play on seperate nights then it looks like they could have worked something out....Anyway..Good Luck Bolivar!
