On a side note, I'm speaking as neither a player nor the coach but the Livingston Academy fans were outstanding last night. When the Cats fell behind by 14 in the 1st quarter, it appeared the LA comeback fed off the enthusiasm and noise from the Cat crowd. I think our fan base (myself included) and especially at home games take a lot of our success in a very matter of fact manner. But last night was a completely different situation. I was sitting right in the middle of it and the noise, at times, was incredible. A lot of people were standing and cheering as loud as they possibly ever had. I'm no expert, but I know the energy from the crowd was a vital part of the win. For all the times the Livingston fans might should have been a little more enthusiastic, last night is a time they can collectively pat themselves on the back. It was an electric atmosphere for a big time win.

Livingston's fans are incredible. I am from the district 8 side of things, but I must say that their fans are a very impressive group. I went to the girls' semifinals on Monday, and when LA is making a run you can look over and see fans high-fiving each other in the stands, something you don't usually see in high school sports, outside of maybe football. Great fan-base, in victory or defeat.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am still in shock over the game I watched last night. UNBELIEVABLE performance by Chase Dunn, and congrats on breaking the single game mark...now theres one left. Another kid that had an outstanding performance last night that may not have been shown in the stat book was Devon Ramsey..may have only had 8 points (i think it was)..but they were 8 when it was absolutley necessary. He was a big presence and had the bext game he has played in a long time in my opinion, and I think he is going to feed off that and together with McLearran take this big guy from WHITE HOUSE out of the game Thursday night. After that being said, when Dunn has his 30-35 thursday night along with the big guy from White House being shut down I am gonna say LA BY 14 after the free throws. May be closer but from what I seen out of White House in the Upperman game the big guy is about all they got, and one ball handler but LA will take care of that and the Region Championship Thursday night. Congrats to Coach Melton and the CATS and bring that substate game back to LA (along with the Region Championship). Good luck to the Cats Thursday AND BEYOND.

Dunn's performance was Jordanesque. When you are in a shootout, you put the game in the hands of your star and Chase performed the role EXTREMELY WELL. He is a special talent, quite possibly the best to walk the halls of Livingston Academy.

How soon they forget. Has everyone forgotten about Marc "Hun" Hill? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Bubblegum, good post. I sit a lot of home games and have never heard the crowd as loud as I did last night!! And I was at HOME!!!!! Roger Ealey (pronounced e-lee although I can't spell it /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />) was bragging about you guys there at the game. Before he could tell if the baskets were good in the 4th quarter the roar of the crowd did. It was amazing listening to that game!

i played against marc and know him, he was a really good athlete. however, he was not in the league of chase dunn. hope this doesn't hurt your feelings, just being honest. best player i've seen at LA before chase was the miller boy. thats my 2 cents.

last nights game was definatley an amazing one for the wildcats, afterwards everyone was hugging and crying even coach melton lol. i love hogeye and i am definatley proud of all of the wildcats. dunn did have a spectacular game but he could not have done it alone. ramsey also stepped it up and played great when he was in foul trouble. and t.j. smith played some good D and he also was in foul trouble. and todd smith played a great game as well. oh and i also thought that will peterman played good and got some crucial rebounds and he had nice lookin three pointer too. congrats to coach melton and the wildcats. now lets beat white house and play at home monday night in the sub state game. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
