Could have very well been a by product. When a person in the position of Covington's basketball coach displays anger publicly ,in that manner, it can raise the emotions of many or all associated with the program.

 

No doubt..with a gym that packed could have caused a riot. Not all people can handle their emotions or care to. Glad it was taken care of. On a happier note ....GO CHOCTAWS!!!!!!!!!

You are completely correct... it could have been ALOT worse than what it actually was!!! the security reacted very well to the incident with that being said it was a good game... GO CHOCTAWS!!!

Statement and questions.

This is the playoffs. That means you play to win. You take no chances. This game was a one and done game. If you can`t take it, schedule some middle schools.

Since when did winning a game, especially a playoff game, by 24 pts, become running up the score? That`s an average win for alot of teams.

A question to the Charger coach: how many games have you told your players to slow down on their scoring?

Also, the substate will be the Monday March 3rd. However like Beavo5 said, whether it be in Newbern or not is still undecided.

lol, and I thought I was bad towards DC...I'm going to cut back on my posting and try to stick with Gibson Co. topics as my mouth seems to upset people on DC threads. alright... the word kid got me confused because he is older than 18 which by law is an adult so kid i thought you meant 17 and under... if I am wrong I will admit I'm wrong no questions asked! what controversy is caused by actions just wondering cause I haven't heard anything you know i live where we all have our heads up our poopers? Yes i've payed attention to our coach he stands, yells, sits on the bench, and walks up and down the bench like ALL coaches do! How do you know that all other region coaches don't like him? Did you go to every other coach and ask them? Highly doubtful! He does fit perfect at Dyer Co. i agree but for different reasons! Listen I have sat by certain DC fans that I MYSELF literally had to move away from..the one's that every single call against us is wrong. Well that isn't true. Do our kids work hard yeah...do we have some fans that get out of control...yeah. I'm not one of them. I didn't see the incident you are talking about...so I can't comment on it. If it happened it sure shouldn't have..but he is an adult and HE will face the consequences not me. Do I talk smack...darn right!! I've said before I grew up in a sports based family((coach,etc)) I for one am ALL for good sportsmanship. Even with our biggest rival D'burg I make a point to tell what parents I know from D'burg their kids did good. Do I GET SICK of people dissing DC, which they do quite often....except when we have a chance to make it to state they all are pro DC. Success breeds hatred...the older you get the more you will learn how true it is. Go to a DC game...find me..then you make your judgements about me!! I didn't see what happen, but I was told by someone who did see. Montrell got upset when one of the Covington coaches grabbed CJ on the back of his head and jerked it, after the game. Montrell was just taking up for little brother. I believe the coach did this in a jesture of good game, or something of that effect. Montrell took it wrong. So Montell got escorted out of the gym and that was the end of it. It was just a Big misunderstand. I don't believe Montrell hit a cop. End of story!!!
