I will put the scores on this thread when I find them out.... The tournament is still 2 weeks away.

How does everyone think the East TN teams will do down there? Farragut made it to the Championship game in 2006 and made it to the Semifinals last year when they lost to Christian Brothers.

uhh im sorry they beat TN high 2-1, what happened there...I reffed a TN high game and they are about as good as crockett so pick your battles son. plus i just saw south and central play, sorry but DB stands no chance and your also forgetting Science Hill is in that district.

DB bat Morriston East 4-0 last night and have some very good players. I think they will win the district or be top two at least. I doubt South or central will challenge either DB or Science Hill.

I wont argue that you dont have good players, Geno might be the best sophmore around, but i would be suprised if you got past sullivan south, their Defense is the strongest ive seen in years and josh wood is probably the most physical striker in Tennessee but best of luck

I am not with DB, but I agree that Geno could be one of the best Sophmores in the State. South Defense I am sure will be strong and Josh Wood is a big physical striker.

South plays DB toward the end of April so I am sure both teams will be hitting their peak at that time of the season. DB attending the tournament this weekend in SC will really help them, Science Hill playing in Franklin this past weekend will have helped them, playing better, faster teams who put higher pressure all over the field can only get a team better.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
