u r rite...Coppinger pitched well....I think a 1 hitter but how many hits did Hixson have???? 3 I believe! I would be thinkin of Notre Dame and CCS if I were Hixson. Congrats on the big win tho!!

You are correct. I think Hixson only had 3 hits, but also received 6 walks I think. Those walks kinda help.

 

Coppinger only faced 1 batter over the minimum and threw only 80 pitches if memory serves.

 

Good rivalry.

Marion beats Sequatchie in a double header played at Dunlap.

The first game was pitched by Justin Bell. He gave up three hits allowing only one walk. Marion scored 7 runs in the first and went on to win in 5 innings 10-0.

The second game was pitched by Lucas Lloyd. He gave up only one hit and allowed no walks as Marion won this game in 5 innings as well. The score was 10-0.

You for got to mention that Seq. Co. was blasting Jasper 10-3 with 18 hits in the top of 4th with bases loaded and

no outs. Then the baseball gods struck Seq. Co. it started to rain. Coach Roberts didn't waste any time calling the

game did he? It's wasn't 10 minutes an it was called. Most places like Red Bank would have tried to get it in. They

used 12 bags of conditioner and tarped the field twice in their game. But the all mighty warriors got away with one didn't they.
