New Clay County High School 2003

The word out of "C" town after conditioning/weight training today is that there will be no immediate consolidation! As of this fall, the only thing under consideration is the mascot and colors of the new school. I take that to mean there will be no consolidation in 2003!

It sure looks like they are getting ready for consolidation by changing the name and colors. Why else would you do that?

You are in almost the same situation we are. There isn't enough money to build two new schools. So, what did we do? We are spending $29 million that we don't have to build Gordansville a new school and us a partially new school.

Real smart, huh? We should have done what you and Macon did. Build it, and tell them to come if they want. If not, keep it up yourself.

RIP IS DEFINITLY ALIVE AND WELL IN CELINA. SHE MAY HAVE HER BEST TEAM YET THIS YEAR. SHE IS A BIG PART OF THE REASON CELINA HIGH SCHOOL IS SO SUCCESSFUL.

Thats no surprise to me. Sharon is a top notch person and Im sure a great coach. One day Smith Co. will come calling for her. You belong back home Rip...say yes when they ask.

Celina High School students voted on Thursday to keep the school mascot and colors.
