Bearden Bulldogs

Recommended Posts

the biggest key to bearden's success this year will be the play of their QB. they have to replace a lot of starters on both sides but the biggest loss was at the QB position. anyone who follows the dawgs, whos competing for the starting job?

they lost like 20+ Sr's didnt they? There is no way they will be as strong this year. I'm kinda tired of hearing about

this little running back, when he hasn't even gained a yard in Varsity football. IF he is only 5'7 150? he will get

crushed in 5a ball. In my book the guy from DB is alot better, I played against him last year and he will be a stud. I

guess I'll see how good the little guy is going to be when we play Bearden but until then i dont care bout him

That's a boatload of seniors. I wonder how many actually played.

the deverin young kid is good, but he will only play in spots because his body isn't mature enough yet. he'll wreck shop in jv and play sparingly in varsity games, but he will not be the bulldogs go to guy. they have a sr running back (sapp i think) who is very capable of taking over where works left off. the best case for the young kid is to return kicks and punts, maybe some db depending on how tough he is and/or get 5-10 touches on offense per game. that's best case scenario. he is only about 5'6/150 and that's generous as far as weight. he's rocked up for a sophomore, but he probably won't be ready until next yr.

so the all-star all-american being recruited by every major university in the nation wont play? Why not if he is so AMAZING?

Still time for him to transfer! Maybe Powell???

That is funny... I was the one that pulled him away from Powell, when he was 8 or 9. You can thank some coaches in the Rec. league for losing him. After I coached him, his mother and step-father moved to the Bearden zone. Powell is a dirty word in their household.

Of course his step father and I played together at Bearden some yrs back too. Webb and Catholic couldn't get him after dangling scholarships in his face.

We all know Catholic and Webb do not give scholarships.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
