/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> GCA.....we will all make our assessment of ol' thunder and lightnin' when we see 'um display all their skills in front of a worthy opponent. They have only played one good team (Hampton), and I believe Thunder pulled a hammy and Lighting ran out of electricity. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Makes you wonder if they can produce those amazing statistics against good teams. My guess is Thunder and Lightnin' are going to turn into firecracker and pokey when the real teams show up.

GCA....2008 TSSAA 1A STATE CHAMPIONS.....LOL

I can't wait until GCA faces a ligit top 10 team.... maybe they can get in the playoffs and get a good shot at Onieda or Greenback... I would love to see them get to play SP, so they could get the reality check they deserve... more than likely they will get put out first round, and say they had a bad game...

lacks the speed (4.7 - 4.8) to go to any major college... he should get looks at utm and apsu... but more likely to get offers from bethel, lambuth, etc... has good field vision, runs hard, runs smart, and fast enough to get to the corner on most 1a teams... has the ability to break tackles... overall, I would not say that he is the most talented running back in 1A (due to other players ability to play at a higher level on the next level) but, I would say for 1A and how it works, he is one of the best in the state...

Bossbro... don't give me the patsies mess... you take away Boyd and Tyner and who has SP played... not saying they're not the best team in 1A, because they are... but teams will always have 3-5 teams on the schedule that will be down or traditionally bad... if you can't accept that... you don't know much about 1a football, or hs football for that matter... as far as being in the game when he shouldn't be... I can think of only one time this year that that has happened...at MTCS when McEwen was up 27-0 and the put him back in to get the td an pad the stats at the end of the 3rd quarter... besides this occurance... every other game he has been in when he should be and out when he should be... that was just 1 occurance... and I am sure that 1 occurance has happened with SP in there 82-0 thrashing of Whitwell... make sure you get this right Bossbro

I don't dislike SP

I think SP will win 1A

Is ET the most talented RB in 1A...probably not

Is ET one of the best RB in 1A...probably

I am not taking anything away from the RB from SP, but I would also think it would be easier for a RB to run behind a state championship line that an average 1a line... don't you... and he may still be getting looks at SEC schools, but one would think if a RB was up for Mr. Football (where they take stats over college offers) that they would at least be one of the best in 1A football...

I am not saying that he will up for Mr. Football, but no one has given me any stats to think otherwise...

Their is videos at prep sports of Larry baker and Jesse Kavolotski at the reebok combine in nashville Larry Baker ran a 4.7 at 240 pounds and Jesse ran a 4.6 don't know what E.Tummins runs but he is Faster Also David Jones ran a 4.7 at it but it was his junior year and he looks alot faster in his videos on you tube

Because they are the only A team in Memphis, Manassas gets very little respect. They are very small for a Memphis school, so they fight for respect in town, and because they are an "outsider" when it comes to West Tn single a football, few really know much about them. Having said this, James King has got to be the best. He is 6' 1", 195 lbs, ran an electronically timed 4.59 at scout.com camp over the summer(not the bullish 4.5 times many throw around that even top NFL backs don't post), and averages over 12 yards per carry this year with 1250 yards or so already this season. In addition, what the SEC schools like about him is his blocking - he is fantastic in the backfield picking up the blitz. Lastly, he only carried the ball 20 times the last 3 games as he is resting a slight ham pull and he has only been left in thw whole game against trinity and Fayette. Against Fayette he had 279 and 2 TDS. Don't discount this kid - he is the real deal.

MOntrell Mitchell is the best Back in 1A football he just doesnt get the ball enough at SP kid is the truth /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Montrell has a great blend of speed, power, agility and balance. He would definitely stand out at most any school in the state. It just so happens that he has to split time with 2 other backs that are extremely good too.
