Didnt get to make the trip to Cumberland Gap, but was told the Varisty dropped it 24-14? Any info on that?

But anyways...... all the Games that dont count are over, this week it's the real deal. Who do you have the Highlanders or the Bulldogs?

Highlanders by 21.

I did make the trip and what a trip that is. Anyway, the offense looked better, the defense was uninspired. They had some good individual plays on offense and defense. The bright spot was when the dawgs had an interception and the offense then converted it to a touchdown on the next play.

JV played well. Phillips at QB was something to watch. He ran for 1 TD and threw for another. Future looks bright.

As for predictions, I know nothing about Scott Co this year. Bulldogs are playing better, but going up the mountain to play is a tough chore. I will say the Bulldogs in a close one.

Well, I hope that the dogs are ready to play-especially on defense because from what I've seen, Scott has a really good offense and York had a hard time defending it in the jamboree. The biggest thing I hope with the dogs is that they come out fired up and ready to play.

Well the Highlanders also scrimmaged Gap and it wasnt pretty. No contest as usual. They struggled at York but cleaned house with them in the jamboree. That Sexton kid looked great and they got back that quick running back that had a great game at Wartburg last season. They aint got the line like last year but the are getting better every week. So i say the Highlanders role 38-14.

With all due respect you are living in "dream land"! The Highlanders completely dominated Cumberland Gap, and CG beat Wartburg. I know the common opponent is not always a true measure of how the game will be played.

Scott beat Wartburg @ Wartburg by over 30 last year, So the streak will continue.

Scott big 21!

Glad to hear the offense looked better. But I found it a little weird the offense looked better and the Defense looked bad? It's usually the other way around. But Best of Luck boys Play Hard.

Defense wasn't bad, just really not fired up and flying to the ball like at Webb. That is why I said uninspired. But the offense is better.

Not sure what scrimmage you watched there hoss...but I don't remember Scott dominating CG. I saw a fairly even scrimmage with Scott coming out on top. Yeah they won it...if you can call it winning it seeing as how it was mostly situational...but to say they dominated, well thats a bit of a stretch.

Anyway...

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
    • What coach in their right mind would want to come here and set theirself on fire to keep her warm.
    • Shoulder not going to the #### show .   Macon will name the score this year.
    • Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
