The new district will be tough on the Panthers no doubt. Heck the rest of this season will be tough as well. They made the most of Karns mistakes last night. It was just great to see the kids get a win. I thought the FHS transfer Cody Harvey was a huge difference in the game. He accounted for 3 touchdowns and had 2 picks and recovered a fumble that he took the distance. ihavenofriends I'm unsure of Cody's playing time at Farragut but we are thankful to have him. To put a positive spin on the new district for LC this will not be their first time in that district. In 19991-1993 the Panthers played in that district. They went 8-3 made the playoffs and lost to a Knox Central team led by Todd Helton. The next season went 9-2 and didn't make the playoffs because both Maryville and Sevier Coutny only had one loss. Which both games were close I think Maryville actually beat LC in OT. That season LC went on to beat Eliziabethton in a bowl game at ETSU. If you can remember only two teams made the playoffs during that era. LC during those two years up handled Farragut, Bearden, WB, etc. LC had a a lot of talent. Heck the next season LC dropped back down to 2A and went 1-9. Wanted to keep things positive on our side. Farragut must be loaded again! Good win last night over West.

wasn't trying to rain on your success. Just saying enjoy it while you can. heck Farragut fans need to enjoy their recent success while they can. It has been a long time coming, seen many years where they were absolutely terrible, or just terrible games during decent years that ended the hopes of the fans and team. hope the winning can last for both teams this year.

And I feel for Karns, Farragut a few years ago lost to Heritage on homecoming, I think it was Heritage first win in 2 years and their only win that year.. not sure on the specifics, but it was a very similar situation. of course, I don't think it was a 1pt loss. more like 9pt loss.

This was arguably the most exciting LC game I have seen in years. I think the coaches have the players believing in themselves. Luckily LC's schedule is softer on the front end which will allow them to gain some confidence. The schedule does get brutal in mid-season (Andeson Cty., Powell, Halls, Maryville). LC has alot of injuries right now too (3 starters out, 3 other players out with injuries ) and hopefully will be even stronger when they return. Great win for the LC Community.
