King's, CAK, Grace, Knoxville Christian could be a district, and play Chattanooga teams in the playoffs. Catholic and Webb would also probably be 1A in a two-class, all private school division, though Webb might move up anyway. I'd expect the Maryville private school to eventually have a team too given its location, and there are private schools around the state that could potentially join the TSSAA if they're assured of not playing the Brentwood Academy types. That was apparently a problem from some in the past as they would have had to play those type teams in basketball, one class for that sport. Some for schools that chose to stay Division I.

Your research was not accurate. KCS (Knoxville Christian School) only has about 35 to 45 total in grades 9-12. I'm thankful to the administration at Grace that our 2 or 3 boys have the opportunity to play the game they love so much. They have been very lucky to have been instructed by two great head coaches in their time at Grace. They have worked very, very hard to get to this point.

Wasn't aware there was such a thing. Who did they beat?

there is no such thing. there is a bad misconception about the so called middle school state championship. i am positive that clinton did not play any teams from nashville or memphis or probably even chat. what they won was a district or region championship

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
    • Interesting read in the fish wrap about why the baseball coach quit. No help with administrative duties. IMO Not a good look for the administration, especially the AD. What in tarnation is going on up there?
