Pujo, glad to see your still eyeballin the tribe. I've been watching for stats on them dawgs of yours to. Glad to see 'em get thing rolling last week. I believe they'll get # 2 this week against Unicoi without to much trouble. I know alot of the pound is a little frustrated this year but I know y'all are gonna be fine. I have a few reasons of my own to think y'all just might still be hangin around the practice field come November.

Sorry for wandering off topic.

Those Dogs are getting better, the stats of last weeks game wouldn't tell you much, the jvs were in with 4 minutes to go in the 1st quater. I feel bad for the Jellico kids, its got to be tough to get pounded every week. Hopefully they can get some positives out of it .

KAZZEE man i am back and it has been a while.. I did seem to fall off i guess but have seemed to kinda crawl back up. This will be a good show friday night and a fun game to watch if the gap still gets the ball in the air on the perimeter like they did last year. I hope to see freak and cheese hitting this ADMIRAL in the backfield this week /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> ....saying that if we continue to move the ball and score and our Defense shows up i will take the tribe in this one...still to early for me to make a score yet!

In all my years of watching Highschool football , the worst display of sportsmanship I've ever witnessed was at Powell Valley Highschool.I hope things have changed.

C'mon there pujo!!!! Don't be hatin on Powell Valley!!!! They're not even around to defend themselves anymore! And besides, this an Oneida/CG thread and things are different now. Should be a good game.

ya know this ol cowpoke has seen a lot of football in my time and one of the best thing about friday nights is seeing the student section get all fired up and into the game. some of the best I've seen have been anderson co. knox central, marryville, you get the picture. anyways what I'm wantin' to do is challenge the students there on the reservation. show up with your war paint on scream, yell really get into the game and get behind the team let 'em know you are there. I've not seen it in a long time, i don't think y'all can pull it off. but heres your chance to prove me wrong. do something b'sides just show up n try to look good.

i dont attend oneida anymore, but im at almost every game.. and the football student section was never anything special when i was in school, but basketball was ok. i still dont get why that is? football is something the students should get up and get a little crazy for on friday nights!

Back when I played the student section was AWESOME in both football and basketball. i think if the Indians continue the way they are heading now, It will grow and be back like it used to.It may just need some leadership, but I think it will come around. And to talk about the student sections, heck-o fuzzy, Anderson County has one wild group /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I once witnessed AC destroy their own bleachers by cheering so hard after a kid dunked the ball in a basketball game.

The Gap has lost there best player this past week to an injury. This will take its toll on the Panthers this Friday.

I hate to here about the injury. I hope it is not a serious one. What type of injury was it & what was his name? Thoughts & prayers to this young man & his family from here in Oneida.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
