I think Richland will be the dark horse. I think with Duke in the middle and some talented young guards, they will definitely surprise some people!!

I agree about Duke being a dominant force. However, their young guards don't have much experience. They have one other senior, #25, but she didn't get much attention. I will be interested to see how the new coach meshes with the team, as well as, how he strategies.

This is going to be an interesting District (11) and Region (6). Cornersville & Moore County are clearly the favorites in D11. The MC & CHS girls played AAU together this summer. They know each other well & both groups have worked hard. Cornersville will be big and athletic led by Jr. Sara Nelms and a strong Senior class. Nelms should also easily surpass the 1000 pt mark this year. Cornersville had a awesome summer camp. They went 7-2 against 3A & 4A schools at the University of Georgia Camp in Athens. They also had a good (confidence building) win against Forrest in camp. District 11 is up for grabs. It's going to be a fun year!

Jasmine "The Diesel" Duke will be the best player in D11. If the supporting cast can help a little, Richland will be OK. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Moore County eats and breaths basketball and are the favorite. Cornersville is very well coached and is always dangerous. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Chow Ming has reportedly received permission form TSSAA and the PRC to play for Richland. A 6'10" point guard will make a big difference for Richland. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

There's the insane humor we all have been waiting for.

I'm not sure about a trip to Murfreesboro, except maybe as spectators. I don't think this district will get past District 12A. Collinwood and Wayne Co. are by far the cream of the crop in the region. I would like to see District 11A represent a little this year, but I don't think it is in the cards.

I watched Columbia Academy, Mt Pleasant, Culleoka, and Hampshire play this weekend and I thought Columbia Academy has some really young talent that might surprise some teams. They beat Mt Pleasant 30+, Hampshire 10+, but lost to Culleoka by 10, but seemed to get dead legged, and they made some tired mistakes. It was tied at the half, but Culleoka out scrapped them and they ran their offense effectively. I think Coach Helton at CA has some athletic girls that are freshman, and she'll build on this with her system. They may be a team to look at by mid to late season to make some noise. I do not think they'll win the district, but they may win some games that could effect the outcome. Look for 3 to 4 freshman to play alot of minutes.

Did CA and Culleoka play at a play day? How did Culleoka do? For CA to beat MP and Hamp. by that much doesnt surprise me. What happened with the CA/Culleoka game. I know these two teams split last season, but 10 points. Was it the last game of the day?
