The Trojans come off a tough loss to city/county rival Morristown East. They travel to Gray this Friday to take on a capable Boone bunch. Will the Trojans rebound strong and handle the Trailblazers? or will the Trailblazers explore new playoff possibilities and upset the men of Troy? Morristown West will win. I just think they have too much depth for Daniel Boone. Go luck

If I'm correct, Boone has never beat West. If they have, it's only been one or two times. This should give Boone some fire and they may be able to pull it out if they play hard.

 

Boone has a different team this year, compared to the past. They are actually very capable of throwing and running the ball. If both of these things are clicking for them Friday night, Boone may be in for a big win.

Refs. Both teams played a great game. How do you snap a ba with 1.3 seconds?

 

 

I agree the refs were bazaar in this game. I believe the TSSAA should monitor these refs closely. They seemed to want to be a part of the game instead of officiating the game. There were 2 calls I have never seen in my life:

 

1. Illegal push on the goal line

2. Hold on the kicking team

 

However, the Boone coaches didn't help themselves any by not getting the plays in on time and forcing timeouts and hurries.

I will bet the video will show no contact on roughing the kicker penalty at end. I have never seen blocking in the back on kicking team on a punt.

I wasn't there but i heard it from someone who was ( Not a West or Boone fan aka "unbiased" ). They say it was a legitimate roughing the kicker on the FG attempt. He said Boone basically had West's number all night and then got flagged because they got their head stuck in their butt at the end.

 

Let's hear it. I don't know, wasn't there. I personally would have liked to see Boone win since they were still the underdog. Maybe you guys will get to pay them back in the playoffs.

I watched the ball so I didn't see if there was roughing or not. There was a couple Boone players very close to the kicker which I didn't understand. Boone should not of took any chances trying to block it because an NFL kicker could not have made it. There was a steady, stiff wind blowing directly in the face of the kicker.

      Marion had no answer for groves last year and he’s added a lot of weight since last year already. And the other groves Marion couldn’t block…he’ll be back.

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.

      I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.

      Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
