I am excited and ready for basketball season, I do expect improvements in our team this year at Kenwood. The region looks similar to me with Dickson dropping off and Kenwood stepping up.

 

IMO

1. Springfield most rounded ball club

2. Clarksville may be better than Sprinfield due to previous experiences

3. NE is on Clarsvilles heels

4. Rossview has been steady

5. Kenwood hopefully will play up to their talent on a more consistant basis

6. Dickson County will keep all games clsoe til the end winning almost half their region games

7. Northwest, underachievers as usual but will beat Henry COunty

8. Lots of talent in the halls but not willing to play for coach

 

1, 2, 3 are all tight and whoever gets hot at the right time will win out

 

4,5 are tight as well, I expect a real battle for the 4 spot.

 

 

 

Just wanted to throw out this prediction by fastcat from early in the season...Where did Kenwood finish this year? Oh yeah..last!

Funny..we havent heard much from this guy since HC is winning and Kenwood is once again at the bottom of the barrel.

 

Thought all you Henry County fans would love to reflect back on this post...

 

To me it speaks volumes to this guys credibility!!

Funny..we havent heard much from this guy since HC is winning and Kenwood is once again at the bottom of the barrel.

 

Thought all you Henry County fans would love to reflect back on this post...

I am sure after the thumping that the Patriots gave Kenwood that he has resumed his position in the alley hoping to be oppurtunistic with some fast rats

He is just a Henry Co. hater! He did the same thing during football season. He downed Henry Co. and said Dominique was soft and overrated. I told to come on over to Paris and try to tackle Dominique one on one in the open field but he didn't take the challenge.

Any predictions for tomorrows games? Any upsets?

 

I think clarksville could get upset. Rossview could. But northwest and springfield have been playin inconsistent. So you never know which one team your gonna get.

 

 

Northeast vs Kenwood: regular season results- NE by 53 and 28; prediction-kinda hard to pick against Northeast in this game

 

Henry County vs Dickson County: regular season results- HC by 10 and 28. I know this may be a rivalry game, but DC has yet to show me they can score enough to win the game.

 

Clarksville vs Springfield: regular season results- Clarksville by 22 and 16. Springfield may be the trendy upset pick, but they haven't shown they can play with Clarksville. IF they can pull the upset, they'll have a big advantage the rest of the tournament with the semi's and final being played at their place.

 

Rossview vs Northwest: regular season results- Rossview by 10, NW by 15 (each winning on their homecourt). Well, Rossview is at home, so they're probably the favorites, but both of these teams are Jeckyl and Hydes, so who knows?

I agree. I think if we beat dickson tonight and springfield upsets clarksville it could be an interesting game tomorrow night for the right to play in the ship.

Henry county won tonight by 21. We are playin without our startin pg for the rest of the district is what I was told. (For reasons I will not say). And I think that's why we started off sluggish. But we kept our heads on and now we got springfield on there homecourt.

 

 

Is it just me, or does controversy seem to follow Henry Co?

 

If he's out, and Stanton is heating up, could this be a better game than first expected, especially given that it is at Springfield?

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
