thoughts on tonight's games:

Wavo at Cheatham- Wavo needs this game to keep pace for a home game in the 1st round. A loss drops them 2 games out fo the four spot. This may be Cheathams best chance to get a district win this year. i will take Cheatham at home by 4.

SC at Harpeth- Harpeth looks to get revenge for the loss in dover. Harpeth is playing decent now and SC will not get the home cooking they get in dover when they travel tonight. this one i don't think is close with Harpeth winning by 15.

Sycamore at MC- a loss by MC drops them 3 game behind the four seed with 5 games left, and with MC being swept by Fairview, it is really like 4 games behind with 5 to play if they lose this one. MC play better at home, and Mills is starting to get hot from outside giving them an outside scoring threat finally. Sycamore wins this one, but it will be close.

CW is out of district at Pope John Paull and Fairview is at Columbia Academy

DR Love I am a SC fan also I do support the players always! Respect is earned! Your actions are how you earn it. It seems to ME that SC is always training young coaches. SC players did a great job against Clarksburg last night! Keep it up! Philmeyer: As for cleaning house knowone knows how clean a house is unless you're the one living in it! That is a good statement you made though.

yes great job against clarksburg with younger guys steppin up in the playin role. and SC is always trainin young coaches because no one has much of a chance to stick around, in every sport. the only coaches that have been able to stick around through the highs and lows are the bramletts, and coach holliday has now solidified his position. other than that, fans become to get irritated with how things are goin and the trigger gets pulled a little too quick. but i have faith in coach holt and hopefully this win against clarksburg will be a motivation booster in the harpeth game tonight. good luck rebels

Maybe the student section will be heard from. I agree that Harpeth will have revenge on their mind tonight and the game will be played with a lot of emotion. Still........the Indians have got to execute. If they do, it could be a long night for Stewart County.

could be a long night for Stewart County.

Just like it was 2 weeks ago when the Rebels were tearing Dover to shreds following their big win over the Indians /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

1.) Creek Wood (7-1)

2.) Sycamore (6-2)

3.) Harpeth (5-3)

4.) Fairview (5-3)

5.) Waverly Central (4-4)

6.) Montgomery Central (4-5)

7.) Stewart Co. (2-8)

8.) Cheatham Co. (0-7)

Sycamore at Montgomery Central should be a close game that goes to the wire. The Indians have the size on the inside to beat and bang with the War Eagles. If Moore plays good then I like the Indians to come away victorious. If Sycamore can get the Indians to turn the ball over then they will win.

Waverly Central at Cheatham Co. could be a stunner. It's "Homecoming" night in Ashland City and the Cubs will be very emotionally charged. Waverly is going to be expected to take care of business and continue their recent winning ways but they can't play flat.

Stewart Co. at Harpeth is a rematch from earlier in the year when the rebels put a bad loss on the Indians resume. It's going to be a game that could be a blowout in favor of the Indians. Then again, it could be upset central all over again if the Rebels don't become overwhelmed by the environment.

There is some good news and some bad news...

The student section at Harpeth is depressing to watch, and it was homecoming. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

But the good news is Harpeth coasted past Stewart Co. Harpeth put a ton of pressure on the Stewart bunch and never looked back. Trey did a great job all over the floor, and had about 4 dunks get messed up due to intentional fouls. The MVP tonight in my eyes had to be McMullin. He hit some big shots, and played great D. Dansby along with the rest of the tribe all played with intensity, and if they play like this the rest of the season they wont lose. Mostly because of the weak district, but I totally believe that they can win out.

Great game Tribe, keep it up. Trey is definitely on top of the MVP race, there was nobody on that Stewart County squad who could keep up with him.

DR Love The Bramletts are the best coaches SC has had. They know talent and they get the most out of it. Coaches can make good players great or players can make a coach look great. I realize coaching is a tough job. I,m not pulling the trigger to quick I,ve been around long enough to call it the way I see it.There is alot of talent on that team that is a fact. The younger guy's stepped up the other night and did a good job.I realize he's building for 2 yrs down the road. This year should count also!!!!

Same story different outcome tonight as dirty play was the rule and there were at least 3 intentional fouls before the one that was finally called on attempted dunks by Trey. Stewart County took the butt kicking they had coming until about halfway through the 3rd quarter when they just gave up. I thought their subs did an admirable job and Harpeth let up off the throttle as much as they could with a 35 point lead. All 15 played. Most of them scored. 18 for Caruthers, 12 for McMullin, 10 for Horkins and Dansby. Taylor for SC had 10 for them.

Harpeth's defensive pressure was the difference in the game.

1.) Creek Wood (7-1)

2.) Sycamore (7-2)

3.) Harpeth (6-3)

4.) Fairview (5-3)

5.) Waverly Central (5-4)

6.) Montgomery Central (4-6)

7.) Stewart Co. (2-9)

8.) Cheatham Co. (0-8)

I DISAGREE WITH THE DIRTY PLAY COMMENT. HARPETH DID WHATEVER THEY WANTED TONIGHT, BUT THEY DID NOT ON SC BECAUSE OF PRIDE, NOT DIRTY PLAY. THEY TRIED TO FOUL EARLY BUT TREY WAS JUST WAY TO FAST.IF THEY WERE DIRTY THE COULD HAVE CUT HIM ON ANY OF THE ATTEMPTS, BUT THEY DID NOT. HARPETH WAS THE BETTER TEAM LETS AVOID THE DIRTY PLAY TALK.

Dont intentionally foul on every dunk attempt and dirty play will not be brought up. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
