BLACKMAN UPSETS SIEGEL

Not a well called game by Siegel's offensive coaching staff. The Stars were having a hard time shutting off backside penetration on their Counter and Bootleg series, yet, never seemed to make any adjustments or just go away from it all together. They were wasting first down play calls and subsequentially played behind the sticks from the middle of the second quarter on.

 

Witt, Gooch, and Ward could have won that game by 10 points, if they just would have gone to the passing game a little sooner. I've been hard on Watson in the past, and I felt he and his staff made an error on this, but he's far from the only coach that waits too long to start passing exclusively.

 

Witt has a lot of potential as a QB (coming from a former QB that ran a VERY similar Pro-I system in HS), but he has to develop that QB clock in his head. He's a really good passer, but he does two things that will get you beat this week:

 

1. He gets TOO locked on Gooch at times. I don't blame him, but some of those other guys, specifically Ward, can make plays.

 

2. He holds the ball too long. He took three sacks where he should have either bailed the pocket or thrown the ball away.

 

I really like Siegel's abiltiy, but I think they may lack the intangibles to beat Oakland.

Heard someone from Siegel say that none of their players were punished. Not sure about Blackman.

Your bias if you think there is nothing wrong with road fans storming a home field. I really could careless what you think though, no one is getting suspended so thats definately false. Lets just make some more stuff up why dont we. Siegel didnt bring the A game last week so now were being doubted, but i can assure you that this game friday is going to be a close one.

fans storming or celebrating on the field after a game never...never...never warrents the home team's players to physically attack them...never...some teenagers got excited that their team won and ran onto the field to celebrate...happens all the time from high school to college

 

99.99% of the siegel players were ready to shake hands and call it a night...but a couple of guys stepped over the line ...they were wrong and the coaches and sro officers would tell you and them that they were wrong and so would their parents ...i already know that one of the parents did just that...so don't justify their response...it makes you look like a thug...and my guess it you are a fine young man...

 

i am glad no one is getting suspended...i'm sure it was an emotional reaction that happens to all of us from time to time...good kids who over reacted...they will learn from it

 

siegel has a talented team...they have played very well thus far...but have two tough games left...they deserve to go to the playoff's with the wins they have put up this fall...

I do know that they say alot of the boys will not play .... I can tell you this when I was young and someone come on my field stomping my mascot like a bunch of thugs I would have done exactly what them boys done. I do hope that all the boys involved blackman boys also gets the punishment that is deserved. all boys involved embarassed their schools their communities and their families, but I can not say that I would not have done the same thing as a teenager if that happened to my football team. and I do not think that any one of you on here can say that either.
