Sorry, it's not the girls fault. I've watched a once proud girls basketball program wither away. Why do you think we've got so many good softball players...alot of the younger girls are playing softball and soccer, but not basketball. Coffee County is going back to the "Good 'ole Boy system" that has been it's demise for years. I thought our new Superintendant of Schools wouldn't let this happen. Obviously I was Wrong! Why do you think the football coach really left? I know why. I'll be suprised if Coy stays. I hope he sticks it out, but wouldn't blame him. Glad to see you back on the boards Windy.

Now now ... soccer? Now you oughta know better, have you watched the girls soccer program at the high school finish last the past two seasons? I have. And what's 'good ole boy' about Muckle? He isn't from Manchester. Give him a chance. I like his style. Years number three and four are the ones I have circled. That will tell the story on him.

McGavock wins AT Shelbyville by 3points. I Guess the current coach doesn't recruit as well as Insell !!!!

What a cheap shot. Let old Shelbyville lose a scrimmage game and it becomes big news. They will get things going just like they always do. Good job McGavock, played hard, good coach, deserved the win. But it was only a scrimmage. Both teams played everybody. Recruiting, I don't think we have ever been in trouble with the TSSAA. Can everybody make that statement? 14pioneers, you aren't from Warren County are you?

Well said Pedo. Well said. Good grief, we have played one game. This year is going to be a long one and I don't understand how anyone could be expecting otherwise.

Agree, i did not get to see the game Tuesday night however i did see the score, which was bad, but they was playing a very good WC team. I think we will see a very young team show improvement all year, which is what we should expect with the youth of this team.

Good Luck to everybody this season

I was referring to the younger girls on the soccer team that will be playing next year. I quess time will tell the tale. you're right on that. I want Coffee County to suceed as much as anyone. Why, with a school of 1600+, do we only have 2 Seniors on the team? At some point in all sports, the young excuse gets old. We all use it, I'm no different, but at some point it gets old.

Last night's games...Franklin Co and Coffee Co won. T-Town lost by 2 to Grundy Co.

Lawrence County looked good as predicted last night. Luffman with 13 Robbins with 16 and Freshman Emily Williams with a huge game as she looks to contribute tons to this team this year.

As for District.

1. Shelbyville

2.Lawrence County

3.Franklin

4.Lincoln

5.Columbia

6.Coffee

7.Tullahome

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
