Hamm
Did Frank Morgan not defeat Tom Minwell in the state semis their senior years??
ghouse
Did Frank Morgan not defeat Tom Minwell in the state semis their senior years?? Like you didn't know that answer! He did indeed. Looks like Tom Minwell got a little revenge there.
sx123
Like you didn't know that answer! He did indeed. Looks like Tom Minwell got a little revenge there. that was frank's junior year, tom's senior year tom beat frank tom's junior year, frank's sophomore year frank beat tom in a dual last year at carson newman i believe that puts these 2 at 2-
KingGreene
Actually, they met up three times last year and Frank won each of those close matches. So it was no doubt a surprise in the finals how well Tom controlled the match. However, Tom is extremely tough on top (It's not very often that Frankie gets rode out like he did) and he has grown into a very good heavyweight. We see CN a lot through the year, so they are bound to meet up again. And they're always great matches! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
FIG42
Man I hate I missed this match, I see that there is a match scheduled at Carson Newman on 12/4 with King . Can you tell me a time and is it just King? Hey Caleb did Joel wrestle this weekend and at what weight. Sorrry for many questions. I have either been at a football field or on a mat it seems like most of my life and I am having withdrawl. Congrats Caleb, Frankie and all our locals. I hope you and others will get their fix by attending some of these college and high school matches. I've attended a couple of small college contests and UTC , unfortunatly attendence is almost alway sparse.

And yes we have a dual with them on 12/4 there and 1/27 at King. Joel wrestled 57 and went two and out. He drew a tough first round match against a returning All-American from Campbellsville. He told me he is having a lot of trouble making that weight and will most likely end up moving up to 65.
KingGreene
Frankie and Tom wrestled eachother again yesterday at the Va Tech open..... twice! They were unfortunately paired to wrestle eachother first match! Tom won the first one, putting Frankie in the consilations in which he fought back to the consilation finals to meet up with Tom again. Tom beat him there also. Minwell 3rd Morgan 4th. Good showing at a tough tournament for both though! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> There was also a 2008 160lb state finals rematch yesterday. Joel and Brett met up in the consilations. It was another close match, but Joel was able to hold Brett out once again with a late 3rd period tilt. I believe the final score was 8-5. Also, Blake Hartley from Kingston wrestled a great match against Shields in the first round! Blake got the first takedown and ended the first period with Shields on his back extremely close to being pinned! Blake's hard work has put him right up there at the same level as a tough 2x state finalist!
