ksgovols
There's 51 against pretty tough competition. Livingston Academy is a candidate to go to state in AA and they play very good defense. It's tough to put 51 up on them unless you've got some skills. Sounds like they played man to man on Jenkins. Overton County Fan
Just wondering why he is going to Vanderbilt? Is that what he wanted or was it just his best offer? Was Pearl not interested in him?
rabbitranch
Just wondering why he is going to Vanderbilt? Is that what he wanted or was it just his best offer? Was Pearl not interested in him? The story is that Pearl, is now, very interested in him. Looks like he must have been," asleep at the wheel". How could anyone have overlooked a player of this caliber? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
yankees8589
Doesn't really matter if Pearl is interested now or not.......I don't see why he would be because John Jenkins has already signed a LOI to play for Vandy. Once the LOI is signed it allmost takes an act of congress to get out of it, especially to a team in the same conference. Jenkins is going to Vandy. Maybe Jenkins had rather play for a coach like Stalings instead of the Sweathog. Vandy is a very good program and probably had the best recruitig class in there history coming in this season. Vandy has lots of talented players. Vandy class of 2009 John Jenkins 4 star ranked #37 (signed LOI) Vandy class of 2008 Lance Goulbourne 4 star ranked #72 Jeff Taylor 4 star ranked #52 Steve Tchiengang 4 star ranked #87 Brad Tinsley 4 star ranked #94 Vandy class 0f 2007 Andrew Ogilvy 4 star ranked #41 Festus Ezeli 3 star ranked #145 Keegan Bell 3 star ranked #28 PG (unranked in top 150) Vandy Class of 2006 Keegan Bell 4 star ranked #87 JeJuan Brown 3 star ranked #121 Vandy class of 2005 George Drake 4 star ranked #
wanteddeadoralive
Was fun to watch last night. First time for me to get to see JJ. Great player, anyone know his high school career point total?
GCPioneer
You also have to look at academics instead of just athletics. If Jenkins doesn't make it pro, a degree from Vandy would look better than a degree from Tennessee in most circumstances.

Overton County Fan
I noticed he had to ask to be taken out of the LA game where he was so out of breath... I don't think I have ever seen that in a high school game.

ksgovols
Yeah, me too. Kids pat their heads or pull on their jerseys all the time to get a breather.
