BurroBall
So, officially now Hillsboro, Centennial, Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood, and Independence will all be in the same region (for football too) beginning next year. Good Grief! That's a powerhouse region anyway you look at it.

ambiguousrock
This has got to be the most competitive region in the state. I love it.
MumboJumbo
I am speechless! This region is mindboggling! Grab your popcorn people, Friday nights in district eleven will be awesome. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> The Burros will be playing top-notch programs and also be rolling in the $$$$ when they open their gates to the Will Co teams. Can we fast forward to 2009? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
Bulldog86
WOW that??™s a power region. That is hard to argue. It should be interesting with Hillsboro and Franklin. They already have a bit of a rivalry going. AAA (8 and 9) aren??™t so bad either.

Actually, HHS has intense competitions with all of these schools already for basketball (this has been the basketball district for many years and Brentwood-HHS girls is very intense as well as Franklin-HHS boys). Football just gets folks even more amped up.
donathan5507
You had better bring your 'A' game every Friday night. There isn't a single easy win to be had, plus the playoff race will be even more competitive. There will be one guaranteed 5A playoff team and two guaranteed 6A teams. Since the rest of the spots are decided by tiebreakers, I would expect a lot of teams across the state to find as many easy wins as possible...that will NOT be in the case in 11-AAA. All of the teams consistently play some of the toughest non-region schedules in the entire state. I very much look forward to district games next year...shouldn't be a bad game anywhere. otherside21
its arguably been the best region in the state for baseball for some time now (Overton is in there too for baseball), and now this football region will certainly be the best in the state. should be absolutely exciting. whoever comes out of this region each year will be well-groomed to win state! CHS 2007
Man, just when you thought this region couldn't get any better top to bottom....
sleeper3773
It's going to be unfair to at least one team due to the fact that every year in this new region at least one playoff level team that is capable of going two or three rounds deep will not make the playoffs at all. But it will make it interesting every Friday night.

But it will make it interesting every Friday night. Gee.....kind of like it??™s been in 4-5A the last few years? I still feel TN. HS football should go to a point system like in Ohio and other states where the teams you beat and the teams they beat, calculate to a number which determines your playoff status. This will keep it "somewhat" fair and keep teams from playing "cup cakes" and going 10-0 or 9-1 then finding out their not as good when they lose in the 1st round of the playoffs (ummm.......DB) It also keeps teams with 3-7 records from making the playoffs because their region stinks. Like anything, this would not be perfect because what if you are in a terrible district and you don't get good value from beating them. So then an 8-2 or 7-3 team can be seated ahead of a 10-0 team but that 8-2 or 7-3 team may be better anyway.
