I think next years team could be really good too, and I don't think Shadowens schedule the games, I believe the principal did. I think the o-line will be a strength for this team. Logan Waldron back at center, and McCarver, Byrd, and Williams back as well. They have to replace Brunsvold but I think you will see a guy like Ty Scarbrough step in and help the team out, especially if he gets bigger this summer. Chris Liddle could also help up front as he became a force on the d-line towards the end of last year, he def. has the body to play, but don't know if he can go both ways. Another one to watch for is Steven Barker who is the most talented freshman lineman from last year.

Skill wise I think RJ Miller is going to have to be involved somehow. Whether it is throwing him the ball or handing it to him. If he can learn the new offense I think he could be a stud. Chris Beasley can also be a key for this team. I think their biggest loss obviously was Bartilson and Welker. It will be tough for Ivey Starling to come in right away and perform at a high level, but there is a lot of promise with him and he is an athletic kid.

I dont know if next years team will be deep, hopefully some kids will come out and play that havent because they could help. This team will def. compete for a playoff spot with Eagleville, Moore County, and Huntland. Communtiy being a 2A team in their district also helps. The schedule is tough, but if they can avoid injuries it will be a plus. And last years schedule was tough as well with JoByrns, Cascade, and McEwen 3 weeks in a row.

I have two sons at Brentwood Academy that have had (one currently has) Coach Peden as a teacher. They have both played for him. He leads a Bible study every Wednesday night at his home for the senior boys at his home. I will tell you from the bottom of my heart that your administration "hit the ball out of the park!" What a huge loss for us and a great gain for MTCS. I am happy for Coach Peden and MTCS. It will take us a couple of weeks to get over it at Brentwood Academy, but then I am sure we will all become MTCS Fans.
