I dont think you can count Farragut out just yet. They do still have the only win over Walker Valley. So Farragut can cause problems, especially if they can manage to upset Bearden in the 2nd round.

3-1 on the predictions. Thought Campbell would handle Farragut, just didn't expect Campbell County transplant Hunley to take the game over in the 4th. Oak Ridge is playing as good as anyone in this region right now. LC had a good season, but their chance come next season. They aren't as good as Bearden but they are playing a ta a high level. DB showed last year it just takes one game. Maryville keeps on rolling as does Bearden.

Hunley is Farragut's best free throw shooter at about 80%. Campbell Co. sent him to the line 8 times in the final minutes. Hunley's makes were big, of course, but Farragut's defense (minus Ben Mixer the last 4:26) came up huge in the 4th limiting Campbell Co. to just 1 field goal. The Cougars' Cody Malicoat, a freshman, looks very promising.

Early line has Bearden by 25. Money line 99/1 on FHS. So as they say on Dumb and Dumber.......so there is a chance.

Hunley did a great job hitting his free throws and putting the game away down the stretch when Campbell County had to foul but the story of the game was that Campbell County could not stop Watson who got 21 hard earned points in the paint plus some assists, blocks, a key steal and rebounds. If Farragut plays smart and lets the post players touch the ball every time down the floor they are a much better team and probably the second best in the Region because no one but Bearden can match up.

 

As always this time of year Coaching is a big factor on who moves on.....

 

Just like last year 3 of the 4 remaining teams are out of District 4 shows District 3 isn't as good.
