Nitro14
Congrats to the Blue team with the 24-18 win. Being down 18-8 they never gave up and showed determination and unity. Good job running the football on both sides by the backs & QB's.

But i'm trying to look at the positives so i don't get down do you think there should've been a bigger turnout for the scrimmage maybe only 50 people in attendance:thumb:

Agree with you about being more physical. This group used to knock some chin straps loose and cross some eyes when they played even in youth football. We will sure miss Rob Parsley and the toughness he played with and demanded of his teammates. Seen way too many plays were DB's could have came up and laid a lick on a runner and they either held up and reached for them or pushed them out of bounds or missed the tackle. But that's what a spring game is for. To see where you are at and who wants to play. I felt like attendance should have been better. I know alot of other sports are going on also, but the team deserves more support from the community.

Warren County lossed one of it's greatest players of all time, with the passing of Glen Powers last week. For those posters, who did not have a chance to see Glen play, It's hard for me to compare him with other former Pioneer players. He simply was in a class by himself. Glen led the 1974 Pioneers to a undefeated 10-0 season and later signed with Tennessee. Glen will be sorely missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have him in their life. That 74 team was special and Glen was amazing! I think we should honor him at the first game in some way. Truly one of the greatest to ever wear a Pioneer jersey. 14pioneers
Booster Club meeting tommorrow night @ 6:30. Everyone please attend. GO PIONEERS !!!!!! Keep working hard PIONEERS!!!!! Remember , players are made over the summer, with the amount of time spent on lifting and running. If you are a player on the fringe, you must improve your strength over the summer. Don't expect to be noticed in the fall, if you do not commit yourself in the Summer. Believe me when I say this !! The "SWAMI" has spoken and will be Watching !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No posts since April? With the dead period here, how many players are working out on their own? Come on Pioneers! There's alot of holes to fill this year. With Harris, Wilcher, Dunn, Delane, Holland and others graduated we need some players to lead by example and keep this thing going forward!
