What a year. I personally want to thank the Gibson County Lady Pioneers and especially Coach McMillan (both of them) and Coach Russell. We are blessed to have you and thank you for all you do. The reception for the team was great. Way to show support for our young ladies. I personally have got to know most of these players and you are class acts, on and off the court. The determination to finish what you started dating back to last years loss against Marshall County, proves you can accomplish great things if you work hard. We are going to miss the seniors....Erica, Frosty, Jenny, and Garner as I know them. Your leadership has helped this already tremendous program get even better. Good luck in your dreams. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Sung by the Gatlin Brothers....

All the Gold....

In Gibson County....

Is in a bank in the middle of the City of Dyer....

In Paige Duncan's name.....

So if your dreamin...

About winning a GOLD BALL....

It don't matter at all what ya think is true...

The Wizard has his first!!!!

I guess I could have been like those goofy announcers on the TV broadcast and called Paige......Kim McMillan (I think there is a US House of Reps woman named that from Middle TN)

AND

they said her husbands name was Kevin Williamson....lol

Anyway, the Williamson's are legends in my book!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Congrats to Gibson Co on a perfect season!!!!!!

Also Seniors Erica Schlesinger and Senior manager Autumn Hopper. Autumn would've played this year, but went through a big loss in her family. Good Luck to those 5 in whatever they do! This has been a GREAT season! I hope we can repeat it next year!

Thanks GC I went back and corrected....

Congrats GC on a perfect season! It is not easy to do in a district that holds 2 of the areas top teams in Westview and Obion County with 2 of the state's top players in Amber Rechis and Chassidy Fussell. With the line up they have returning next year and Coach McMillan calling the shots, it wouldn't be a surprise if I am saying this again next year! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
