I know that you're aware that nobody's getting rich off the gate. If that were the case, there would be no need for a booster club and the constant barrage of fundraisers. I'm happy to pay the price of admission at football, basketball and baseball games to support these young men (and women).

Went to a High School baseball game the other day and took my son and wife. Cost me $15 bucks to get in.

($5 each)

I was talking with some parents and they were having to decide which parent attended and whether the other siblings could go.

For example: Talked with one family who had Mom/Dad/ and 2 siblings. At 3 games a week it was costing them $60 per week.

What is everyone charging to watch high school baseball?

Just curious?

I don't know that I'm happy to pay. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

All I was trying to point out about cost was based on a discussion I had with some families recently.

I like the ideas posted here about students and kids getting in at a reduced rate. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing a reducted rate for students. And I would like to see season passes for each of the sports as well. My old high school even had an all-sports pass that was a pretty good deal.

At Grace Baptist Academy we do offer season passes to all sports. The gate is charging $5 for adults & $3 for all school age kids except for the ones who attend Grace, they get in free!

Amen Slider. I GLADLY "slap leather" to watch many games outside of my own childs. The countless hours of enjoyment I get from ALL these young men , is worth EVERY PENNY. Compared to $8 bucks a ticket, $5 for popcorn, $10 for a couple of sodas at the local theaters, baseball and the entertainment it provides is a BARGIN. You can't keep me away for any amount of $$$. Riverdaleman I may take you up on that $10 pass!

I have been telling people for years that high school baseball may be the best bang for the buck when it comes to sports entertainment /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

Cumberland County - $4 adults $3 students. I know there was a comment about football being cheaper over the cost of a season. Keep in mind officials have to be paid. Football pays officials 5 times a year. Baseball will pay officials 10 - 13 times a year. A double header (jv/varsity) will cost a program $160 with a two man crew. A good baseball gate is when you make enough money to cover officials. I cant imagine that they could go any lower than $5 or $4 and still cover officials. Also keep in mind that booster clubs and kids pay for everything! The school system in most cases does not pay the first cent towards running the program.
