Hitter
Franklin dominated in the game against Indy. Joey Falleta pitched an incredible game. Big Bad Josh Lee went 0 for 3 with a K and an error, guess vandy is getting their moneys worth. Franklin ripped the ball coming out on top with a 9-2 victory. Kind of feel sorry for the kid they way the VANDY COMMITMENT thing has been smeared all over everything you read about Independence. Isn't it a little bit premature? franklingirlpower2009
I agree with hitter, I don't think he should be labeled that just yet. Just because he signed with a good school people are all of a sudden against him, and hope that he fails. It's not fair to him because he is a good kid, and not cocky. He can't be signed with Vandy yet. That is what I meant by being premature. Just seems to put a lot of pressure on the kid when everytime his name is mentioned the Vandy Commitment thing is also mentioned. It would make more sense if he was a senior. baseball07
Anybody know if the Franklin-Indy game is still on for tonight?
GoingtoRightField
Anybody know if the Franklin-Indy game is still on for tonight? Not sure, but Brentwood @ Overton is on. Nice rematch from Wednesday's 10-6 Overton victory over Ray. Overton got 7 off of Ray in the first inning and chased him after 2-3 innings. I will say, though, that Shelton for B'wood can hit. baseball07
wasn't franklin's field ok to play, but indy didn't want to show up. Is the game rescheduled or what?
rebel4life94
Franklin as of Friday 3/27 had 5 wins, 6 losses. The wins have come against teams that (honestly) would barely compete at the middle school level. They have been crushed by average to slightly better than average teams. The team has decent players but not sure that the coaching staff knows how to motivate or prepare them. I've seen most of their games - their play reflects the inexperience and de-motivating attitudes of the coaching staff. My advice to the rest of the district coaches: throw your 3rd or 4th starter against this team and save your #1 & #2 for teams that might offer more of a challenge. I hope district coaches keep thinking that way. Maybe Independence did when they got spanked by the Rebels 9-2. Franklin is sitting #1 in the district right now at 5-0, but keep throwin those #3 and #4 starters.... wasn't franklin's field ok to play, but indy didn't want to show up. Is the game rescheduled or what? Franklin's field was good to play, but apparently Independence had already called it off. Game rescheduled sometime later this month
rebel4life94
Hey Burroboy411 - Franklin is all the way up to 4-0 in the district. Time to celebrate right??? What you don't understand is that after racking up 4 district wins against Hillwood and Hillsboro's girls JV softball team, the party is over. My "sketchy baseball knowledge" has them finishing under.500 for the entire month of April. They will be cheering for Independence to represent the district in the next round. Talk to me at playoff time. Hahaha this is great....too bad your Eagles got spanked by Franklin 9-2 this week. That 5-0 for Franklin looks a bit better than that 2-3 of Indy right now....
