We were actually invited, but I limit the number of tournaments we play in, to one, for several reasons. Tournaments can beat you up physically, mentally, and psychologically, and we don't have the numbers to do that. Since Bearden has some of the best teams AND it is local, it saves us a lot of money to participate in that, as well.

 

Also, the bigger factor is that weekends are very precious to me. While it might seem selfish, I don't see my family from Monday-Friday, and if I limit tournaments to just one, then I get to spend more time with them. It's why we never practice on Saturday, as well. You guys need time with your families and friends, too. Soccer can't be everything.

 

Maybe when my kids are older, but right now, this time is too precious.

I do not know, but hearing how destroyed their field was this weekend, I wouldn't be suprised.

Lexington 6, South Side 0.

Lexington is supposed to play Jackson Christian tonight. I hope the rain doesn't spoil it. This is the game I have been waiting for. 2 or 3 starters for JCS live in Lexington. These kids have somewhat of a rival going, I think. And Lexington seems to be doing much better than past years. This should be a great game.
