Johnny Darden back in South Knoxville???

I also heard a rumor about the boys coach (Laundry Kosmalski) at Webb has resigned. Can anyone confirm this?

Laundry?! Really?! I think his name is Landry. Either way, I heard that through the grape vine, too. Probably the same grape vine that is spewing out all this "inside" info on who CAK is looking at to fill their vacancy. That grape vine is tall and extra skinny and has a few offshoots that didn't fall too far from the vine if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I heard Landry accepted a college job. Can anyone vouch for that?

Landry is going back to Davidson as an Asst Coach. Great opportunity to return to as school where you were a 4 year letterman.

CONGRATS LANDRY!

OK, with the openings in Knox County and CAK let's throw some names out there of former coaches or current coaches that will possible make a move to another school..

1. Former West High School Coach Chris Lindsey. He's been looking to get back in it, will this be the year he comes out of retirement?

2. Former AE LAdy Roadrunner Coach, Coach Brabson may be willing to take the job at SD.. he does have a State Title under his belt.

3. Jody Wrights assistant coaches, if those coaches has help Jody win back 2 back championships let's throw their names in here as well...

4. Coach Carter- Bearden's freshman coach.... How about give the guy a HEAD VARSITY coaching job. I want to see his antics on the varsity level, he's a character. LOL

The South Doyle job is going to be a tough one for whoever takes it. Cach Barnes did an excellent job with the talent that he had. They just did not have nearly enough to compete with Bearden, Farragut, Maryville, and Lenoir City. A lot of the best athletes choose to go to other schools like West. Hopefully SD can get a coach that will be able to hang in there for what is sure to be a long building process. Good luck to Coach Barnes. He is truly a class act.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
