Is it Geoff Mallory, Rodeny Nelson, or LaBrandon aka Sticks from West?

i heard they went after a coach from N.C. and he turned it down, for obvious reasons, and then they were going for the CAK coach that got fired.Darden i believe is his name.dont know for sure if he is the one, but he was offered.

Never went after or offered Darden. What are thos obvious reasons? They have had a pretty good program the last 3 years and still building.

May be wrong, but think that kees101 is talking about public perception of boys program. A little fear that player(s) can complain and get to the right people to have coach removed. It is not the total story I realize, but that is the public perception by a few of Grace boys program. Does that perception matter? No. Only boys players, coaches and administration know the whole story one would guess.

easy runandgun, the obvious reasons we all know, not to be mean but if it was as good a place as you think it would not have taken this long for a coach to accept the job, most coaches are always leary of a program with a problemed history, you should have good seasons with the nice transfers you all get.coaches should jump at the chance to coach at grace.

Money says it will be Pridemore, He will be coaching both teams.

i dont believe pridemore can actually be both head coaches,he doesnt have a teaching certificate.a friend of mine on the football staff said they made a position for him,i thought he said, head of girls basketball operations just so he could head up the girls team.i could be wrong and if i am runandgun can straighten it out.

I heard that whoever they hire will only be for this season. They need to forget about getting a big name coach at this point because they don't have enough to offer. Don't get me wrong they have been very good the past few years. However, they are a single A private school that has garnered a bad reputation for the way they have treated their basketball coaches. No big name coach is going to leave a prominent school for a small school. many private schools struggle to maintain good athletic programs due to the fact that everything is dependent upon people paying the tuition to attend. They should have struck while the iron was hot and hired the best young coach they could find. But it doesn't look like they've done that.

Paul Pridemore, GCA's Girls' Basketball coach, has also accepted the role as head coach of the Rams Boys' Basketball team for 2009-2010.

Wow is this guy like Randy Moore or is he better? I know Randy did a good job of running both programs at Seymour

they have signed their own death warrant, three senoirs have quit the program because of this.why would you hire the assistant of a program that cheated, this is supposed to be a christian school.where is the example?i thought they played pretty well for the interem over the summer a least they were having fun. This is going to kill any hope they had for this season,They finally get Williams and burdette back, then this happens, both have quit the program because of this hiring. What did you all do to get him the teaching certificate?I know for a fact he did not have one last week....You cannot be head coach without one.

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
