the toughest district in the state

Alright i've been thinking about the new district classifications for next year and what the competition is going to be like. Then i thought about the districts that will be torn apart. So i ask this question, which district has been the toughest, year in and year out?

I personally think 4AAA is probably the toughest, sporting perrenial powers Bearden and Farragut. This is somewhat biased because I am not familiar with teams and districts outside of east tennessee /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I think this will be an interesting thread and I hope everyone has fun w it. keep it clean!!

If this is for the classifications and districts next year, then Greeneville is moving down to A/AA last I heard.

Greeneville is actually the only team i mentioned that i'm not 100% sure about. i've heard from some that they will be in that district, and others that they would not, but i really dont think that district will be A/AA

I'm pretty new to these boards but i'm going to assume u kno a little bit about CAK soccer BigG, do u kno wat district they will be in next year?

There are actually only 2 more teams in District 4AAA

1. Farragut

2. Bearden

3. Maryville

4. Catholic

5. Knox West

6. Lenoir City

7. William Blount

8. Heritage

It would be hard to argue that this won't be the toughest district in the state.

Here is a link to the new classifications in Tennessee.

i'm sorry, the 4 was a typo. this district will undoubtedly be the toughest district in the state. not just for soccer tho, this district is going to be tough in just about all sports

Add Catholic and Lenoir City to the district with Bearden, Farragut, Maryville, West, etc. That has to be the state's DISTRICT of DEATH for football and soccer, boys and girls.

Take Greeneville out of district with MO E and W--they are going down and will be a great public school competitor at AA. Put South Doyle in that district.

I think that's pretty accurate but not 100%.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
