From a neutral opinion

I think Cumberland can beat Meigs, Livingston, White Co., and maybe stone.

Russ Partin and staff have been working exteremly hard this summer. New staff, new attitude, new season. The boys are buying into the fact that with hard work, determination, and attention to detail the sky is the limit. CCHS has a good defense led by the front 8, 6 of 8 are seniors. Offensively the Jets are beginning to operate with some good early success. They have been competing very hard in the passing league games and Bowen is becoming efficient with Partin's no huddle spread passing attack. We will see how we perform next week once the pads get on. The Jets are tired of losing and have a motivated experienced squad that is hungry. This may seem a little optimistic to all you unbelievers, but anywhere from 8-2 to 6-4 is a reality. I believe this team with a good break or two has a legitimate shot to compete for a region title
