An interesting fact about SGC and NGC is that they will not be playing each within the first couple of years. On down the road these 2 schools will make for a very interesting rivalry. Medina produces some very good girls basketball talent, but so does Yorkville, Spring Hill, Rutherford, and Dyer.....

Great choice, Meredith will do well at coaching and will be a great role model for the kids as well. Meredith was a joy to watch throughout her career and a great player at both levels. South Gibson is lucky to get someone that will be a great coach and an even better person. Meredith is lucky to be at a school that will be a powerhouse someday down the road, a great fit for both parties.

Congrats to Meredith!! This was a great choice by SGCHS. They are getting a great role model and someone that is very familar with West TN girls basketball. She was an outstanding player @ both the High School & College level with a very High Basketball IQ. I think we will see great things out of her and her future teams!!

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
