Coach T. There is a request on the 3A football site requesting money for a player to attend an All American game. I would like to donate but would prefer to send the money directly to him or via PayPal but I'm not familiar with the site he is using. Is there any way I could get his email or would you forward something for him to reply if he would like?

I went back to his post again to see who he was using and gofundme.com is a legitimate site as best I can tell. I have donated a couple of times to causes on there.

I emailed him and gave him your email address.

Thank you sir. We have been in contact and are now friends on Facebook. I'm going to see that he and his dad are able to do this. As a former college player and dad of one, I know how important things like this can be, not just for the exposure but for the memories and family experience. I've been fortunate enough to travel all over the country watching my son play AAU and in college and wouldn't trade it for anything! I appreciate all you do for high school sports. At times like these, we should put aside all differences between competitors and step up to help someone. Thanks again!!!

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
