Did I read in the DPA that Central was having scoreboard problems? You guys better get that repaired or you will have to here about it for 2 years

Central fans WAKE UP! You're acting like you beat the Cleveland team of the early 90's. You didn't. You beat a team that had 18 penalties, a team with a sophomore QB that was 8 of 27, a team obviously struggling with a new coach's system, a team that lost their #1 RB in the first quarter....This wasn't Benny Monroe's Blue Raiders. You had one offensive drive for a TD and it started somewhere around the Cleveland 35 due to a ,,,,,can anybody guess,,,penalty. You blocked a punt against a Punt team that a 6th grade team could have gotten a block against, and picked of a pass against aforementioned sophomore QB....Anybody that watched that game and knows anything about football, can't say "Central will beat Polk" without following it with "as long as we don't play like we did last Friday". Be honest with yourself,,,there were no positives in that game,,,your kicker was the closest thing to a positive, he is a stud,,but he even missed a PAT!!!!! Tell me what you saw that leads you to believe you could "blow out" any team?

Some of you are trying to justify it by saying that Polk didn't play anybody in week 0,,okay,,but you played a team that had 18 penalties!!!!! And were 1 yard away from being down two scores at the half!!! If Cleveland plays like that against Bradley, Bradley will beat them, by more than 14 pts.

This game was a mess on both sides. IT really became a joke! 28 penalties? Any fan that left that game thinking you could beat anybody, doesn't know much about football. THe old saying is that you improve the most between game 1 and game 2,,,how did that work out for Central? Do you fans think you got better? How many turnovers and penalties did ya'll have against County? Is this a trend or was Friday night the exception?

Straighten up the penalties and the turnovers and yeah, you might beat Polk,,,but if you have 4 turnovers and 10 penalties this Friday night ,,you all know you will leave Benton with a loss!

First of all. It doesnt matter what cleveland used to be or could have been.Ya they had alot of penalties, but central had their fair share, and cleveland isnt the only team that was playing with younger players on the field, and alot of centrals players play both ways and special teams.Yes there were alot of fumbles which was embarrasing. but Cleveland couldnt ever capitalize on it. Having the only score on a blown play, and also the extra point that the kicker missed was a blocked kick.Central was having line problems obviously and barely even had time to get set. But Cleveland has much better skills players then polk, and so does central, all polk does is run for the main part. Their qb might have a "farv like pocket" to throw out of, but hes not that great of a qb. I say central on this one. They have more depth. Theyve got the big plays and playmakers, the skilled players the defense that has been looking pretty good if they can fix a few kinks, and central has the special teams. So... jus be ready polk, and all you upset cleveland fans keep whinin. We ready

WAKE UP POLK FANS! THIS JUST IN....BRADLEY CENTRAL ISN'T THAT GOOD EITHER!! i don't remember anyone saying that central beat a cleveland team from the 90's?! everyone knows cleveland and bradley are down. so is walker valley for that matter...fact is central did what they had to do. good teams find ways to win when things don't go their way. central didn't get better last week, but are they supposed to throw in the towel? they will go to work this week in practice and fix the fumbling issue.

you are absolutely right...if central hurts themselves with penalties on friday night, then polk will win. don't think central will show up with that kind of game again...

Great post Charlie but remember you can't argue with ignorance and that's what you are doing with these fool's! BTW the 110yds in penalties Cleveland had doesn't include the ones that was declined!

CENTRAL HAS MORE DEPTH????? Thats almsot as big a joke as friday's game was. Polk fields alot of there sophomores that are excellent young men and on top of that most of their starters share time with the other good players they have. Also Central may have more talent but Central will never in a million years play with more heart then a Derrick Davis coached team and THATS THE BOTTOM LINE!!!! And, it is hard to beat a team that plays with as much heart as Polk does.

Son, you're eat up with it! In last years game Central laid the timber to Polk, smacked them with some smash-mouth football and Polk never offered anything back. I saw more fight in many other teams last year, but Polk took their beating as if they were scared and just wanted to get the game over with.
