Page played Lipscomb pretty well and took care of Eagleville the way they should have.

Lewis has struggled in their first two games, especially offensively.

First 2 games were against teams LC beats any other year and should have beat this year. Dont count them out I know their coachand he is a good one . He will have them playing good this year maybe not up to old LC (10-0) football, but good . So all the haters get your licks in now because it wont last long. LC has a top notch program and everybody knows it.

Actually, I am not a hater, more like a realist. Old 2a football schedules and playing "down" in class for non-region foes will not prepare you for this type of region. Page played down this week for the first time in a very long time and it didn't do anything to help the team get better and get a "W". My point is this...LC will have to step up its competition level to compete at the top. With 3a schools they should be all right.

 

Page is in a rebuilding year with lots of new faces. If LC cannot take this one at home, it will NOT bode well for them this year. Even if LC is also rebuilding, this region has more speed and diverse offenses than they have normally seen. I heard someone say if you were going to get LC ...better do it this year......well....the 4a schools will be having a lot back next year so it is not going to get easier.

 

I like this chance to see Page spread the LC defense out of their comfort zone. If Page defense gets tougher LC is in for a long night.

 

Let's see....Page has scored almost 35 pts a game and LC has scored about 14 a game. Looks like the team with the fewest mistakes has a good chance in this one. However, I feel that if Page gets a lead, the LC offense will have a hard time catching up.

 

The coaching at the 4a level has NO slouches...so LC will have to be on their toes.....and I mean that.. Coach Daniels has a dozen trick plays to use

Page should be favored...no doubt about it. Lewis will play hard and try and make it a game. They are down this year, but are gaining experience each game.
