That would be correct. I have told the Alcoans that their place is a dump and all they do is name call and fark. Bottom line is....with an incredible tax base and one of the largest companies globally sitting in their back yard it's an embarrassment to NOT have a top notch facility. Alcoa has impressive basketball and baseball facilities but not much is spent, or is evident that monies were allocated, for the football facilities.

Speaking of which, where is Maryville's baseball field?

OHH! That's right. They don't have one. I sure am glad that my donations to Maryville College benefit the MHS baseball program. As far as Goddard field is concerned, It is more than adequate to accept the demands of our schedule.

Maryville has th nicest baseball field in the county. Thanks for donating to MC to keep our field plush and green.

You are correct.....Goddard field is adequate but it's still a dump...

The field is very good, away bleachers are amoung the best for visitors, and have you seen the new locker room? Alcoa has some of the top facilities in east tn. and remember, only 500 kids in the school.

Worst stadium by far is in carthage Smith county. If you are unlucky enough to play there be sure and take a flash lite. the end zone are dark, unless they have improved the lighting lately

Smith Co. has my vote for the WORST !! The only people to rave about the hole is the sc bunch but I have yet to see anything to impress ,no sidelines , :thumb: no parking , ghetto part of town need I say more!!1

seqautchie, that looks like a great place to play. I went and seen a game in 1988 at Dunlap. Have they moved that field or have they remodeled that stadium? It looks very nice!!

Antwan, I actually love the atmosphere and stadium there at Smith County. It reminds me a lot of Alcoa's. The home stadium is on a hill and your looking down at the field. The stands are very close to the stadium as there is no track in front of the bleachers. Great place to watch a football game but its also like Alcoa as the parking is terrible for big games.

Wow. So I lived in the ghetto? Awesome! A new chapter of my life I didn't even know I had, " My Life in the Ghetto". After all this time I just thought I was a country boy when I'm actually a Gangsta!

Now I will post a couple of pics for you guys to see some of the good ones up here and some of the not so good. Believe me I am not tooting Ohio's horn at all.

This is Huron Tiger Stadium, nice place to watch a game. Lucky for them a huge indoor waterpark resort donated $650,000 to the project and thus a new field for the Tigers.

Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium is where Massillon Washington High School plays, but also where 3 Divisions of State Championships are held every year. I have also posted their new indoor practice facility thanks to a deep pocket alumni.

Canton Fawcett Stadium. Home to numerous Canton public and parochial schools as well as two small colleges I believe. The other 3 divisions in football state championships are held here just up the road from Massillon. The picture can you fool you though, this place is not fun to watch a game unless its for a state championship.

Parma Byers Field - Home to numerous high schools and playoff games. This place is a total dump and I would not be sad one bit to see a bulldozer go right through the place

Steubenville Harding Stadium- Now I have never been to this place but everyone raves about it and from the pictures I can see why. I do know that Steubenville loves their football and has a great tradition.

Sandusky Stroebel Field, Home of the Sandusky Blue Streaks. Very very very old stadium. I could not find a picture of the home side. This place is very outdated but has a ton of history within the walls.

The Pit home to Cincinnati Elder. Never been here but I like the horseshoe shape pretty unique.

Martins Ferry Alumni Stadium - Home to the Martins Ferry Purple Riders. This place is probably my all time favorite and I have not even been to the place. I love the setting in the hills of Southern Ohio.

These are just a few good ones and bad ones. If you guys have pics please please please share them.

Polk County is my favorite stadium to watch a high school game. Being right at the foot of the mouintain makes for a picturesque night especially as the fall colors come. Fans create a great atmosphere and a distinct home field advantage. The visitor section is as big as most 5A schools.

The baseball field adjacent to the football field makes it one of the nicest sports complexes in the state.

Here are a couple more I found:

Ironton Tanks Stadium- Home of the Ironton Tigers. Very very very old stadium with a ton of history. I love the covered stands very unique to high school football.

Dublin Scioto Stadium - Home of the Scioto Irish. Typical affluent high school with turf

Cincinnati Colerain Stadium - Home of the Colerain Cardinals. Newer field they made it unique with the off color green every five yards.

Crater Stadium- Home of the Dover Tornadoes. Very nice facility their rivalry with the New Philadelphia Quakers is one of the oldest in the state.

Grove City Stadium - Home of the Grove City Greyhounds. Very sad situation in this school district and other Grove City schools. Voters did not pass a levy to increase money needed for the schools. Therefore all sports were done away with, no kid should have to go through something like that.
