Simply put ... one of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen the Governors make in 30 years of football. Bless Jeff County's hearts ... I'm not sure I've ever seen a team self-destruct much worse in the opening minutes of the third quarter. Credit them for not quitting and taking it down the wire.

Thanks GovMan,

That is the one thing I must say about this years Jeff-Co team, they will have a miss-q or two or even three or four, but they do not quit. We still had a chance to win and went down swinging. That attitude will help these young men out later in life. :D

Congratulations to the Govs, you folks were Classy in the win. You have some outstanding fans. Good Luck to the rest of your season.

You keep saying they don't quit like last years team. I don't reacall anybody quiting on last years team. But you're right. They aren't like last years team in one way. They're 0 and 4!!! And fumble the ball 4 times as much. And they have an easier schedule this year than years past.

WOW JC has the same record as DB!!!

No, they don't quit.

That is the thing I love about their character as young men.

I NEVER said "like last years team", you put words in my mouth that are NOT there.

I did not imply that either. Never would. If you think that, you are miss reading my post.

You need to read the post and not put words on my post that do not exist.

I sat in the stands until the last second ticked off the clock in every game last season and will continue to do so this season.

Last years team had a Sr QB that is now playing at Carson Newman and a Sr Running Back who is playing at UTC and I do not recall us winning but only one game after McFall was injured and out for the season and that was against Cocke-Co. You may want to look at the whole record as we are 1 and 11 since McFall went out last year. There are plenty of turnovers to go around since that night. :D

Also, I am not sure how you figure this years schedule is easier? We went on the road to Greene County , again. Then play a preseason top 5 team with a D1 prospect as their running back. Then go on the road against an undefeated SC, who spanked DB last night. Then have to go on the road AGAIN against a team that had a 10-0 halftime lead on that preseason top 5 team you played 2 weeks ago. So we have played 3 road games and 1 home game vs a preseason top 5 team and this is an easier schedule, HOW??????? :D:D:roflol:

G-Men had a great comeback, I checked the news last night, and it said they came back from a 28-14 deficit, I did not know that they were down 28 before their first score until reading the paper this morning. To bad they did report that on the local news, thats awesome. It seems as though the coaches made the proper adjusments at the half to slow down Jc on offense. Man those kids stuck with it, thats awsome what do you say to kids to keep them in a game when they are down 28. Go G-Men, beat the irish

No, it wasn't at half, about half way thru 2nd,# 57 came in on defense and plug the big hole that #33 for Jc keep going thru. Also offense got going and scored 2 TDs before half. Not sure #57 name, think its Randall, not sure, some one that knows please let us know.

lowkee, you weren't there? The way you been on coach T lately, I thought you came to all Gov games.

It was a great come back, when it was 28-0 it would have been easy to quit. Govs way to keep playing and not giving up, Great win.

Whats McFall got to do with anything?? We won one game when he was QB (Greeneville), were losing against Campbell county when he went out in the 1st quarter and Darby took over (we won the game) cause we got mad (and didn't quit) and we won against Cocke County. Would the season have been different if he had not got hurt? I would like to think so but who knows? We dang near beat the snot out of Bearden last game last year but lost on a trick play, after a turn over. For that matter every team we played last year win or lose was limping off the field. Remember DB or SH? This was supposed to be the "undefeated Freshman" team to regain the past of JC football. What happened???? I don't see the focus or commitment from this team as in years past or the phyiscal smash mouth football that is supposed to be JC. Don't miss understand me. Some players on this team have that drive. Maybe your kid is one of them, but as a team, overall it's not there. At least not yet. How do you instill that into a 15-18 yr old kid? Peer leadership, parents, and coaches need to do their part, but the kids have got to have the want and will to do what it takes through the week, not just on Firday night. And by the way, there are several other players besides McFall (CN) and Brooks (UTC) from last years team that are playing on Saturday's now. I really hope this team turns things around the rest of the season.
