Boys, I dont see this as an easy game for either team. JB better bring there A game tonight cause ER is big, Strong, and Fast. I'm not going to say it's a blow out, but YOU better stop talking playoffs and win this one first. How do the teams match up? QB--goes to east, O-Line --East, Tail back --JB, Wide out---East. You see where this is going. If ER can get there heads on straight and believe that they can win this could go there way. I dont see East stopping 44 all night, and he will get his. So lets see how it goes. I THINK YOU LOOSE! EAST BY 7 :thumb:

That sounds like some of the same crap that hack that "writes" for the County Times wrote in his article. :thumb:

OOOPS somebody forgot to factor in #1 Frankie Traughber.

WOW!!!

What a game! I feel like the cops are going to come to my house and charge me with robbery for only paying 6 bucks to watch that game. Where do I start? First I want to thank the ER folks for all the effort they put into this game. If the ER community will continue to support their team like they did last night good things will happen. As mentioned, there were some bad apples but I don't want to focus on them because I know there are a lot of good people over there. Like I said, I really appreciate all their effort because it makes for a great rivalry. Now to the game...

First of all let me say I am VERY PROUD of the Devils effort last night. We could have had every reason in the world to shut it down but we NEVER did. Last night was a total TEAM EFFORT. I could sit here and praise each individual effort but the most important thing was the TEAM EFFORT. Despite all the key players being out, everybody did their part to beat a very dangerous ER team. That exact effort is what we'll need from here on out if we want to finish the season in Cookeville. What the Devils did last night, you can't teach, it's something a team either has or it doesn't. Runnin out of time, can't finish my post...GO RED and you can't GO WRONG! :thumb:

Being a former Indian football player it is sad to see what this football team has become. :thumb: Unfortunately I happen to know some players on the team and they are nothing more than a bunch of "me" players.

Congrats to Jo Byrns you all deserved the win last night. Get used to beating us year after year for a while if we still have most of this coaching staff. I would get into detail about why, but that is for another time and thread.

But again Congrats to you all on the win and best of luck to yall for the rest of the season.

It is obvious you dont know a thing about football or this coaching staff, it is a totally new staff except for Chatman. They were down 22 pts , if that was last years team they would have lost by 60, but they pulled together and made it a game with a good jo byrns team. You are right about one thing, there are still some me players on that team and it will take some time to get those players out of the system , but it will happen real soon. It is because of fair weather fans and parents like you blaming coaches and not their own kids for acting like a bunch of punks

I know who the coaches are and it has been the same garbage year after year. We could have actually taken the lead if the play calling was good. After 05 it has never been the same and the crap continues to this day. Calling me a fair weather fan? Get real I went to school at East my entire life and have played and watched this football program my whole life. If you can't see the problem with this team than thats your loss. We could have won the game last night with the players we have now, all we need is the right person calling the plays.

Since you know so much why dont you go down and help out with the coaching. You the same person telling the coach to run the ball , then when they get stop you are saying why didnt they throw. The coach calling the plays is in his first year and is the best coach they have EVER had at that school. Get off the message boards and go down to the film watching tomorrow morning and be a man a tell the coaches face to face what you think.

someone needs to man up and tell them kid's to play ball instead of acting like a bunch of thug's tryin to hurt someone with all the face maskin thay was doing an puttin word out thay was gonna hurt someone that's real high school football ,,,,if that happened at jbs guess what thay would not even be on the team ,,,, coach Adkins would not allow it,,,,so if the kid's don't respect the coach an vise versa you just as well give it up. it will catch up to ya  if you can't beat a team without trying to hurt someone you don't deserve to even be on the field and for sure not WIN

WAY TO GO JBS

I agree to an extent, but "a bunch" of me players...more like 3-4 IMO. BUT, this has been the case for 10 years. There has been a bad rash of ER guys that lose their head in the "Match in the Patch" over the years and it has played a factor into this game, and I'm sure it has played out like that in other games. #5, for instance, is a heckuva player, but why not keep your composure during the game instead of making terrible plays that cost your team in penalties. Some of this HAS to go back to coaching, or maybe just a different style of coaching. IF (and we all know about if's) I were ER's coach, #5 would've been sat out for a while after the 2nd personal foul, much less the 3rd...and if I recall correctly, he had 3-4 of them. Playing with emotion is one thing, but costing your team is another.

On a different note, my hat's off to #11 and #9...and for the most part #5. I knew ya'll could play after watching what happened in the jamboree and proved it again last night. I hope ya'll bounce back and represent the county in the 2A playoffs...just control the personal fouls!!!

As far as JB goes....Adkins and Holt out, LK hurt, Morris hurt...and the team held it together. I think we'll be alright the rest of the way!

IMO this was the 2ND best ever Match in the Patch, but it carries a lot of weight. This was the 1st time in JB-ER history that a team has gone undefeated in a given decade, that being 2000-2009.

JBS fan and proud. The big difference last night is JBS has been in several big games in recent years and this gave them an advantage in this sort of game. JBS did not panic and this is a slap on the back for the players and coaching staff at JBS. Great Job!

East should not be ashamed. Being down 22-0 and coming back to tie the game at 28 all late in the game shows the character of most of their players. Number 9 really stepped up for the Indians.

It, also, shows that Coach Chatman is a solid coach. More importantly he is a really fine man and the sort of person you would want you son to be around. Both Coach Adkins and Coach Chatman are excellent role-models for the young men they coach. Both are men of character and in the long-run that will be what

imo this was the best ball game i remember as a jb fan as far as jb was concerned but for the sore lossers as they always are they performed as i thought cheap dirty and with out composer but the blame goes across the board from staff thru players .as soon as they realize that u dont have to be thugs on the field to win there program will improve and be a sucess.truley yall had a real hand in getting beat by jb this year 100 yards in personal foul penalties a bit much huh dont u think

best of luck to east

congratulation jb keep playing hard and with composer your success depends on it :roflol:

    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
