Montgomery Central is improved. The Cheatham loss took a lot out of them after the 2-1 start to the season. Last week the after effect from that game was obvious when they got down 21-0 early to East Hickman. They rallied to make it a 21-13 loss but by the time the Indians woke up it was clearly too late. I expect that loss to be a great teaching tool for coach Bragg to use to get his players to play from the beginning of every game. The Indians will play hard from the opening snap this week instead of waiting til the 2nd half to play ball like they did last week. The games against Stewart, Waverly, & Harpeth later this season will be good measuring tools for the Indians. I just do not expect them, or anyone else in the district for that matter, to be able to play on a level with Camden or Creek Wood. Both teams are awfully tough this season.

Camden: 35

Montgomery Central: 7

Camden travels to Clarksville for the first time. Will it be a let down game for Camden after a very emotionally and physically draining win against Huntingdon or do the Lions continue to roll?

L4E,

One correction, brudda' on the "...for the first time."

We beat MCHS up there, 25-7 in 2001. They ran our opening kick back & their stadium announcer called us "Candum" all night!

They came back to Wright Field the next year & put it to us 30-14, but we have made the trip, just not it a good while!

GO LIONS!

wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a close team. Montgomery Central is much improved and if Camden looks past them it could be close especially after the game last week. Montgomery Central is clearly not as talented as Camden but could provide a little competition for Camden if they look past them. But I don't see that happening. I think Camden's coaches will have their players focused on Central and will win by 3 or more scores. :roflolk:

I knew we had played there sometime in recent history but I meant since the realignment, I will be clearer next time :roflol:

Candum??...really? I can't believe I missed that... :roflol:

Camden rolls. Not tested until Creekwood game.

MC should not be able to compete with Camden and I think Camden does roll.. As far as Creekwood goes, I have seen both teams play and if Camdens secondary reacts to the pass like they did against the few that Huntington threw (especially the play action and I'm sorry Huntington but that was not a touchdwn!) they should come out on top. CW has a huge DLT but to slow to matter but the QB is good and a good WR to boot (watch the offensive left sideline).

Looks like everytime a Camden vs. or Creek Wood vs. topic comes up it always ends up about the Camden Creek Wood game. Be interesting to see if both teams can keep concentration until that game and go one game at a time. Camden has a easier road this week. They will Beat Monkey Central by whatever they want the score to be, Cw has a little tougher competion with Stewart county but still should win.. Good Luck Camden and Central. Would be nice to See central win though it would be a huge win for their program..

The biggest key for Montgomery Central is limiting the big play. If they let the Camden offense roll up big play after big play then this one will get ugly in a hurry. If they make Camden drive the field then they could hang around and be competitive for a while. We shall see. Best of luck to both teams and I hope for both to walk away injury free.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
