Tennessean: Ensworth Star May be Next John Henderson

I don't know how the "connection" went down as it was my understanding that he was researching both Ensworth AND Brentwood Academy, this led to him being recommended by an administrator at Mt. Pleasant about Ensworth. He also apparently did not like the atmosphere at BA and their school philosophies.

Some people, like me, do not want to have learn in a Christian environment. Im not going to quote all of Ensworth's statements but it in non-affiliated. I'm not saying it is a bad environment, it is just that many people don't want the religious aspect.

True, it's aspirational in nature, as are most mission statements but you might be surprised. Come for a visit sometime.

I think most people understand what you are saying, and you are right. The point of independent school education is that every school is different. We certainly need to respect and celebrate what each school has to offer.
