Beech wins 21 - 9. Except for a couple of big plays by the Bucs, a defensive battle. From where I sat, the Commando's looked to have a difficult time on offense. They would have a good run from time to time, but couldn't really break a big run. The pass play for the touchdown was a nice play, but too little too late. The Bucs defense looked stout tonight getting big stops when it counted. Sites for Beech had a huge game. Two touchdown receptions and the long td run plus a fairly large number of tackles on defense. Great win for the Bucs. They can enjoy it tonight but they need to put this one behind them and get ready for Mt. Juliet.

It was a nice game for the Bucs. Sites was everywhere. 3 td's (one rushing, two receiving), probably double digit tackles. Beech was once again the smaller team, but appeared to be the more physical team especially on D. They were able to keep the Hville qb from doing too much damage on scrambles. H'ville put together one scoring drive early in the 3rd, but Beech's D kept them bottled up the rest of the night. Beech is improving every week. I've thought they would have no chance against MJ. Now, who knows. It will be interesting. They are playing there best ball of the season.

 

PS. I think that is like 8 out the last 10 over the Commandos with HHS playing in a higher classification several of those years.

Great win Bucs. Continue the control of the city championship trophy. Actually, do they still even have that thing? Anyway, the point is you get to enjoy this one for a day, then get ready for a tough MJ team.
