Great game guys! The defensive line was "the real deal"as usual but the secondary is improving right on time. Need to put more points on the board, but as Coach Mac said, they are not a team that is going to put 40 points on the board. The backs line up and run it right down your throat....A Great Victory guys!!

What was impressive is Oakland held Smyrna to exactly ONE yard of offense in the first half!

Now back to the game. Oakland D line is for real. Physical, big and fast. Do not have to score many points when you shut teams down. Congrats to the Patriots. To my Smyrna boys. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best. Seniors be proud of your year. Times are tough now and you hung in and gave it your all when others quit on you. Last night game was a great game if you like old school, smashmouth defensive football. Smyrna was a botched kick return, short put and a deflected pass away from playing an 0-0 overtime game.

 

Smyrna defense was amazing last night in getting penetration and tackling. But Smyrna's offense had no answer for Oakland's Defense except for the opening drive of second half that ended in the pick and getting deep in the fourth quarter after a great punt return (with no flags!!!) Both teams played extremely hard.
