How do you go from being a projected 1 Seed to being a 2 and being in Alcoa's bracket. Further more you have two 8-2 teams as one yet they are another 10-0 thats a 2 this is crazy.

Polk fans should of done their homework. Those following the playoffs knew they would be put in Alcoa's quad because of geography. The TSSAA can't go around moving teams cause one team has one great season and wants to cry about it. Welcome to the world of CAK, Loudon and so on. Just line up and play, your lucky CAK wasn't put to play you in the 2nd round like it is suspose to be.

Polk didn't get a raw deal at all. Who projected Polk as a #1 seed? Polk did I'm guessing. Anyone who looked at the following:

1.) The TSSAA Playoff Structure

2.) The records of the teams in the area.

3.) A Map

 

Those were the only things needed. Polk is seeded exactly where they should be. IF you guys make it to the quarters, give it everything you have and see if you can shock the world but don't get on here and say Polk got screwed!!!

Polk didn't get screwed over on anything; that's just the way it is. The system is partly based on location, and us being close to Alcoa is pretty easy to see we would be in the same quadrant. It doesn't really matter who we play they are gonna get the best effort from our players just like every week. Polk County players love the "you can't" line when talked about in match-ups.

Polk was not screwed. To be the best you have to beat the best and this quad is full of good teams and 1 great one. The team will play everyone hard, so just try to have a little faith in this team.

I really don't think Polk is scared of playing anyone.....but do me a favor and please start the negative comments about this team they seem to feed off it!

I agree this team has a great bunch of kids that play extremely hard. Good luck to the Chargers as well!

You're correct OldSchool. If Central beats a good Austin East team (who took Ooltewah to the final play) on the road, their reward is getting to play Alcoa again. If Polk wins their first two games, their reward is playing Alcoa (assuming Alcoa wins out, too) in the quarterfinals. Invariably, there could be some teams in this quad who could be playing in the semifinals if Alcoa wasn't in the same quad. But, you have to deal with the hand your dealt.

 

 

Edited because I didn't know the misfits at TSSAA had messed up (no surprise there), and now Central is playing at CAK. Next thing we'll hear is that Sequoyah has qualified and will be the #1 seed of the quadrant.

The TSSAA talks all the time about "Just doing the right thing". The two 10-0 teams in the East are in the same QUAD......Polk did get the short end of the lack of common sense being applied to playoff bracketing. It would have been easy to put Alcoa in Quad 1 and Polk in Quad 2. Polk has a shot but will have to beat Loudon in the second round. I like their chances. You will get a look at the F5 in the quarters. Great Season for the Wildcats! Good Luck!
