where HAVE you been Croz?? It's been three days a week 7AM run and grunt(lift) for what feels like years now ... lol .. go join them the next morning you're home at that hour, you might get a kick out of M&M aka Moose and Mark ..

I had been having to go into work early, so I hadn't been at home to hear em. Besides, I do my own working out in the mornings.

I think Coach Medley will bring a lot to the team, especially a thing or two that I think has been missing.

  • 3 weeks later...
Moose was waking up the neighborhood at 7:00 this morning running those boys. Good thing I was already awake. They'll, at the least, be in shape.

:thumb: This is the year of the Tiger.

I hope it is for G-ville. They sure have the talent to be great and make history. I wish them the very best of luck next year. I imagine "The Hole" will be a packed house come week 1. I expect a great game, even better than last year. Also, does Gordonsville play a week 0 game, or is Smith their first game? Hopefully, we won't end that streak just yet lol, but you never know. I'm sure everybody on the other side of the river knows this, but all roads lead through South Pitt, and I think you can do it this year. Good luck. :thumb:

It will be crowded and Smith is Gville's first game. I look forward to it as always. I'm tired of being the last class to beat Carthage. :roflolk:

Seriously though, IMO, if it don't happen this year, something needs to happen.

Same with South Pitt.

Looks like you aren't on tops of things once again Mr. Croz.

We play Westmoreland in week zero.

Most of the time teams don't change game dates one year into the schedule.

I don't have a kid on the team to keep me informed. So sue me.

This should be interesting, I can see you're at it again.

We are still playing Westmoreland, they just changed the date of the game.

I think it is very smart b/c we might need someone healed up mid season and need that week off. It would be nice if you could say something about our program without the backhanded compliments.

( Ex- If we lose to Carthage or South Pitt, something better happen.) Just SHUT-UP! I think everyone gets it that you don't like our coach, but I doubt that he is losing sleep over what you think.

I just say Go Tigers! Enjoy the rest during the dead period. Come back ready for some football b/c it is almost time. I know my son is running every day. He can't wait.

For one, don't say that I don't like the Coach because I never said that.

Two, what I am saying is that we have the talent in my opinion to beat Carthage and South Pitt, so if we don't beat them, what does that mean? The coaches can change their approach, instead of changing coaches like you are assuming I meant. But, you can take whatever meaning you want to.

If people can't take a little criticism, they don't need to be on here and they don't need to be involved in football.

And, if you would look back through the posts, I have said good things.

Lastly, there is more than just me that shares my views. I want the program and kids to succeed as much as or more than anyone.

Give it a rest.

Croz, I believe your post was very relevant. It's good to be proactive and critical of your team. It shows the devotion that you have for Gordonsville football. But you are right, something has to happen. Can't keep losing to the same 3 or 4 teams every year. Good luck to the 2010 Gordonsville Tigers. I got a sawbuck ridin' on yall against the owls. :roflolk: Don't let me down.

The TIGERS have to step up the mental part of their game, that's where they lack anything. Confidence and backbone will carry you far in the game. This year the TIGERS will be physically ready for anyone, it's the head game Moose and company has to worry about. I surely hope they've turned a corner...

I believe in the Blue and White!!

Year of the TIGERS :roflolk:

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
