After reading the article in the Chattanoooga paper tonight it appears we are ALL chasing Baylor North and their influx on talent and transfers. Grider made no bones about it in the paper. He said we are all chasing Baylor North at this point. One good thing about all this is the fact that Baylor North is a 2A team so regardless of what happens we they will not be in our way of that ultimate goal of another gold ball.

I cant stand private schools that get all these kids from anywhere they can and then they get all happy bout beating public schools, its a shame if they dont. But anyways who are we scrimmaging in the jamboree?

Maybe he was wanting them to get the big head...Signal will be good...but SP does not have a team of whimps running around..in fact the size of their line will suprise many

The scrimmage game time has been pushed back to 7 because of the excessive heat. This is also the SCHS QB club's annual BBQ dinner. $5 a plate BBQ that will be served starting a little after 5 PM. We welcome all pirate fans to come up early and have some food and share war stories.

I missed practice on Mon so I didn't get the word on the time change until Tues... and a good move it was! The BBQ was great last year!

Baylor North...LOL. They killed us in the 7 on 7. They will be tough to handle with all the talented transfers over the last 2 years

That sounds good. I will be there. Make sure you have plenty there will be a lot of hungry PIRATE fans. Will Roy be giving out Red Bull with the plates?

I am getting ready for this practice game Friday. Nobody has told me if Grider is getting a greyhound for everyone to ride on yet. Let me ask you Sequatchie people a question. Can I bring my small cooler with my red bulls in it in the game? I usually share with everyone while reading my Murphy Fair book. You think im joking cause im not. I was also wondering if my dinner plate will be free since im bring red bulls and sharing my Murphy Fair book with everyone. I garuntee you it is gonna be warm up there.

Well before a hard days work begins, Powerp thought he would make some predictions for this year:

Star Players: Raquis Hale & Johnny Sellers- These two running backs compliment each other very nicely. Raquis has the quicks and vision and Johnny has the power and speed as well. Should be fun to watch.

Player to watch: Demetric Johnson- Extremely fast with great moves in the open field will be a major factor on punt returns.

Forgotten face: Kam Cunnigham- With Colton Blevins stepping into the linebacker role last year and doing an excellent job many forgot about Kam's early season injury that caused him to miss the whole season. Kam will give the pirates defense a big boost this year.

Newcomer: Trey Martin- A young, big, offensive linemen this year. Should be able to clear some holes if he plays up to his potential.

Most improved from last year: The whole pirates line.

And a bonus, fan/ motivator of the year: former all-stater himself Mr. David Wyatt. Just watch him during the games. I think he would like to go head on with some boys without pads :roflol:

You made one huge omission....Antonio Chubb...he is a playmaker and he will be asked to do a lot. If Demetric grows some more he could be a big time prospect as a senior. He runs nice routes and has good hands
