13 AA Tournament @ Obion Central HS

Here are the seeds for the tournament.....

These were announced by tournament director Tommy Victory last night during the OC-Ripley radio broadcast....The only question was the Westview-Covington game where some changes would have to be made if Westview upset Covington..I can't find that score anywhere...

 

The play-in game between #8 Gibson County and #9 Obion Central will be played Monday night at OCCHS...These two split during the regular season with each winning on their home court...

 

There will be two games played each night of the tournament...The gym seats close to 1900 with plenty of SRO....The gym is easy to get to and has plenty of parking...

 

The official brackets and times will be in The Messenger on Monday....

WCMT reports Westview boys beat Covington, 74-70.

Milan beat Haywood last night, as well.

 

#1, 4-5, 8-9 are locks. Guessing on the rest.

The District 13AA Tournament, scheduled to begin this evening, has been postponed for a day due to the weather. It will begin tommorrow evening, Tuesday Feb.16th at Obion Co.Central High School.

So all brackets that have been posted on here just , back those dates up one.

There could be a possibility to double up and play more games on the weekend, but we'll try to keep ya informed.

Gibson Co. won the play-in game by the score of 64-62. GC was down 15 at one point and outscored OC in the 4th quarter 22-8. Congrats guys!

The Region 7AA tourney will begin for the girls on Friday(Feb.26th) and the boys(Feb.27th) The opening rounds will be at the higher seeds(#1 13AA host #4 14AA) #2 13AA host #3 14AA)(#1 14AA host #4 13AA) and (#2 14AA host #3 13AA) and then the rest of the tournament will be played at Lexington High School. I'm thinking at this point the two girls semifinals on Monday, March 1st. The two boys semifinals on Tuesday March 2nd. Girls championship of Wednesday, March 3rd and boys will play their final on Thursday, March 4th. Girls sub-state is scheduled for Saturday, March 6th and the boys sub-state the following Monday, March 8th..

NO, none of these teams will win a game unless Ripley pulls it off against JCM or Fayette Ware. It will be an all district 14AA region and whoever winds up in Fayette Ware's bracket better watch out. They are very talented and may knock off Bolivar or Liberty in the semi's
