talked to someone that saw them in their spring scrimmage and said that got man handled by a below average ravenwood. who can tell from spring though?

 I don't think Ravenwood is below average, they have over 2000 students and they have been in the state championship game 2 times in the last 5 years. :D

unless some of those same players or the same coach from those two teams - which there isn't - are on the team this year then their historic record has nothing to do with it... you can look up the record - they are 15-16 over the past three years... what's average?

Yeah but you also got to figure that Ravenwood is a Nashville district school. They are usually tougher schools with tougher schedules. I hope the falcons can bring it come football season

They are actually a 'Williamson County' school and that explains their record more than if they were a 'METRO Nashville' school. If they were a Metro school their record would be BETTER!

Metro's record against surrounding county schools is not that good.

Good Luck this year Falcons! :popcorneater:

Lincoln County would have to be one of the most-improved teams in the entire state to finish second in District 8-AAA in 2010. Not saying they won't, just saying that would be a tremendous feat. This is one of the best 5A districts, as evidenced by Columbia and Lawrence Co. success in playoffs. Both of those teams will be pretty darn good again, and Tullahoma will not likely go 4-6 again.

Well if you want to get technical they are still in a district with Metro schools thats why they have a bad record, this is their region and tell me how they are going to be "GOOd": heres also historical figures2000-present:

Brentwood (6A) 97-32 State champs 2002 reach playoffs all 10 years

Centennial (5A) 41-64 reach playoff 3 out of 10 years, only losing team in this region

Franklin (6A) 93-33 reach playoffs 9 out of 10, only 1 losing season, state runner-up 2004,2008

Hillsboro (5A) 115-23 reach playoffs all 10 years, state champs 2003,2008, runner -ups 2001,2002,2006, only 1 losing season

Independence (6A) 30-28, only had a team since 2005, reach playoffs 3 out of 5 years, state runner-up 2007

Ravenwood (6A) 50-33 only had team since 2003, only 2 losing seasons, been to playoffs 4 out of 7, 2 of them to state, 1 state title 2005, 1 runner-up 2006

This is a tough region and includes "Metro" Nashville/Davidson, although only 1 school. Ravenwood is a force to be reckon with, just like all the other teams in this district.

Historic figures since 2000 for some Nashville Schools are:

David Lipscomb 119-21 made playoffs all 10 years 2 state titles, 3 runner-up

Maplewood 55-58 came on strong in past 5 years with a trip to state but lost to maryville

Hunters Lane 70-42 made playoffs 9 out of 10 known for winning during season and losing in playoffs usually in 1st round

CPA 84-39 made playoffs 8 out of 10, 2 state titles 2000,2002

Metro does have some good schools like Williamson Co. It would depend on how they divided the schools.

Honestly Rutherford Co is the hotbed for Middle Tennessee Football if you want to get technical.
